- Step 1
Open side doors and slide and tilt front seats forward for best access from rear of cab. Slide upper front seat belt adjuster down and using plastic trim panel removal tool, insert at top to fit under edge and carefully pop away from inside edge:- We find it’s easier to use a second to release the side catch at the lower edge of the adjusting buttons:
- Press the side buttons in while lifting catches off top and one side at a time:
- It takes a bit of patience but go slow. The second one will be easy once you’ve got the technique down.
- Remove the exposed 14mm bolt securing the upper seat belt adjuster:
- Step 2
At edge by weatherstripping, grasp and gently pull lower trim edge away from B pillar and towards center of cab to release: - Step 3
Lift up lower edge of upper B pillar cover to gently pull back the side weatherstripping to free the side tabs:
It is somewhat difficult to remove the green upper retaining clip. You can see it with a flashlight – look up a few inches from the top of the panel. The service manual says that this clip should be considered a “one use” clip and to use a rubber mallet and a towel to tap it in, breaking off the profusion tabs.

- Step 4
Remove the 10mm bolt near the headliner at the top of the B pillar.- Slide the C100G hardware piece supplied with your net onto this bolt. Reinstall and finger tighten to start the threads and then twist the tether and D ring oriented to the top:
- We suggest a large zip tie or string to make sure the D ring won’t fall back into the panel during reassembly:
- Remove the clip from the previous step by sliding down and off of the trim cover. You can then lift the side tabs of the green piece from the metal insert and reinstall the green receptor back into the B pillar opening hole:
- Put the metal part of the clip back into the channel location and realign so that the whole cover will line up correctly:
- Keep the D ring up and clear of the trim cover and press into position
- Slide the C100G hardware piece supplied with your net onto this bolt. Reinstall and finger tighten to start the threads and then twist the tether and D ring oriented to the top:

- Test again for full and unrestricted movement
- Press the lower panel into place ensuring that all tabs line up correctly.
- Reinstall weatherstripping:
- Do not fully tighten straps yet. Just pull up so the net hangs up high.
- Slide the seats back to normal positions.
- Ensure that there is no restriction with the seat belt webbing and reinstall the adjuster cover
- Step
Feed the lower straps under the seat bracket back into the cam buckle:Tighten the top straps as desired while maintaining desired range of motion for the front seats. Finally draw the bottom straps tight just enough to not pull down the net past desired height position. Cover up the buckles and wrap up excess adjusting strap:
