A visual representation of the watch face with labels for each display element and control button is provided.
Setting the Time
- Pull out the crown to position III (the watch stops).
- Turn the crown until the correct time (e.g., 8:45) is displayed.
- Push the crown back into position I.
Note: To set the time to the exact second, pull out the crown when the second hand is at the 60-second mark. Push the crown back into position I precisely at the desired second.
Setting the Date (Quick Mode)
- Pull out the crown to position II (the watch continues to run).
- Turn the crown until the correct date appears.
- Push the crown back into position I.
Note: When setting the date between 9 PM and midnight, set it to the following day's date.
Setting the Date/Time Following a Battery Change
Example:
- Watch time: 1/2 / 1:25 AM
- Current time: 1/4 / 8:30 PM
- Pull out the crown to position II (the watch continues to run).
- Turn the crown until yesterday's date appears.
- Pull out the crown to position III (the watch stops).
- Turn the crown until the correct date appears.
- Continue turning the crown until the correct time (e.g., 8:30 PM) is displayed.
- Push the crown back into position I.
Note: Observe the AM/PM rhythm.
Chronograph Basic Function (Start/Stop/Reset)
Example:
- Start: Press push-button A.
- Stop: Press push-button A again to stop the timing. Read the chronograph hands (e.g., 1h / 20min / 38 sec).
- Zero Positioning: Press push-button B. The chronograph hands will reset to their zero positions.
Chronograph - Accumulated Timing
Example:
- Start: Begin timing.
- Stop: Stop timing (e.g., 15 min 5 sec after start).
- Restart: Resume timing.
- Stop: Stop timing again (e.g., 5 min 12 sec after restart).
- Total: The accumulated time is displayed (e.g., 20 min 17 sec).
- Reset: Press push-button B to return all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
Note: After stopping, you can continue accumulating time by pressing push-button A (Restart / Stop, Restart / Stop, etc.).
Chronograph - Intermediate or Interval Timing
Example:
- Start: Begin timing.
- Display Interval: Press push-button B to display an intermediate time (e.g., 20 minutes 17 seconds). The main timing continues in the background.
- Catch Up: Press push-button B again to advance the chronograph hands rapidly to the current ongoing time.
- Stop: Press push-button A to stop the timing and display the final time.
- Reset: Press push-button B to return all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
Note: After displaying an interval, you can continue to display further intervals or catch up on the elapsed time by pressing push-button B.
Adjusting the Chronograph Hands to Zero Position
This procedure is necessary if one or more chronograph hands are not in their correct zero positions, for example, after a battery change.
- Pull out the crown to position III. All chronograph hands will move to their zero positions (correct or incorrect).
- Press and hold both push-buttons A and B simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. The second counter hand will rotate 360°, indicating that the correction mode is activated.
- Adjusting the Second Counter Hand:
- Single step: Briefly press A.
- Continuous: Press and hold A.
- Adjusting the Next Hand (e.g., Hour Counter Hand for 5030.D at 6 o'clock position):
- Single step: Briefly press B.
- Continuous: Press and hold B.
- Adjusting the Minute Counter Hand (at 9 o'clock position):
- Single step: Briefly press A.
- Continuous: Press and hold A.
- Push the crown back into position I to finish the adjustment. This can be done at any time.
