3. How to Update VC-TR40 to VC-TR40 AT:

  1. Download VC-TR40 AT firmware from Lumens website.
  2. Connect the camera with a network cable and access its IP
    address in a web browser.
  3. In the camera interface, go to [Maintenance] -> [Update],
    select the new firmware file, and upgrade.
  4. Do not power off the camera during the process.
  5. After completion, clear cache and cookies and conduct a factory
    reset if needed.

4. How to Set up Intelligent Director on LC300/LC300S and
VC-TR40 AT:

  1. Connect CaptureVision LC300/LC300S and VC-TR40 AT cameras to
    the same LAN.
  2. In the web interface, set one VC-TR40 AT into Presenter Mode
    and others into Audience Mode.
  3. Configure settings for Audience Mode and Presenter Mode cameras
    as per provided guidelines.

Pair Lumens VC-TR40 PTZ cameras with CaptureVision LC300/LC300S to enable the Intelligent Director function. Each VC-TR40 PTZ camera needs to run the VC-TR40 AT firmware which can be downloaded from the Lumens website. The AT firmware only differs from the standard version in tracking functions; all other functions are the same.
1 What is the difference between VC-TR40 & VC-TR40 AT?
VC-TR40 and VC-TR40 AT firmware have different tracking functions. a. VC-TR40 tracks or frames a target in the tracking zone. Available modes: · Everywhere Tracking, Stage Tracking, Partition Tracking, Auto Framing, Partition Framing b. VC-TR40 AT offers two modes: · Presenter Mode: The camera tracks the target within the tracking zone. Tracking behavior is the same as VC-TR40 Everywhere Tracking. · Audience Mode: The camera starts tracking when it detects a target standing up and stops when the target sits down.
2 Installed scenario for VC-TR40 AT
2.1 Scenario for 3x VC-TR40 AT cameras (single presenter camera and two audience cameras) – suitable for a conference room.
Install the presenter camera at the back of a room, facing the podium or presentation area.
Audience Cameras: Install at the front of a room, facing the audience.
2.2 Scenario for 2x VC-TR40 AT cameras in a smaller classroom or meeting space. Install camera 1 at the back of a room to capture the presenter. Install camera 2 at the front of a room to capture the audience.

2.3 Scenario for 2x VC-TR40 AT cameras covering a large stage area. Install both cameras at the back of a room to track the presenter.
2.4 Scenario for 1x VC-TR40 AT* in a small stage area. Install the camera at the back of a room to capture the presenter.
3 How to update VC-TR40 to VC-TR40 AT?
3.1 Download VC-TR40 AT firmware from www.MyLumens.com. 3.2 Connect the camera with a network cable and enter VC-TR40’s IP address in your web
browser 3.3 Go to [Maintenance] -> [Update], select the new firmware file and click Upgrade.

3.4 Do not power off the camera. After 5-8 minutes the process will finish. 3.5 Clear cache and cookies. Enter the camera’s IP address on the browser and go to
[Maintenance] -> [Update] to conduct a factory reset. 3.6 If the user wants to revert to the original VC-TR40 firmware, download the latest VC-TR40
firmware from www.MyLumens.com. Now repeat steps 3.1-3.5. The camera will return from VC-TR40 AT to VC-TR40.
4 How to set up Intelligent Director on LC300/LC300S and VC-TR40 AT
You will need a CaptureVision LC300/LC300S and at least one VC-TR40 AT (up to a maximum of 3). Connect them to the same LAN. We will use three VC-TR40 AT units as an example. 4.1 Go to Mode setting in the web interface. On the “Tracking” tab, set one VC-TR40 AT into
“Presenter Mode”, and the other cameras to “Audience Mode”.
4.2 First, let’s configure the VC-TR40 AT Audience Mode camera. Go to the “Command” tab in the webpage, select “Always send”, tick Stand up, Multi-Obj., and Sit down, and click “Save”.

4.3 Continue to configure the VC-TR40 AT Audience Mode camera. Go to “Advanced “tab, and follow the same settings as in the screen grab below. Director IP is your LC300/LC300S’s IP; the Device port is 52382. Click “Save”.
LC300/LC300S IP 4.4 Next, configure the VC-TR40 AT Presenter Mode camera. Go to the webpage. Under
“Command “tab, in Send Times select > Always send; in Up / Down Stage Select > Detect; in Detect Type select > Multi-Obj Detect; in Behavior Detect select > Normal. Tick Target Appear, Target Miss, Go Up Stage, and Go Down Stage, and click Save.
4.5 Continue to configure the VC-TR40 AT Presenter Mode camera. Go to the “Advanced” tab, and follow the same settings as shown below. The Director IP is your LC300/LC300S’s IP. The Device port is 52382. Click “Save”.

4.7 Let’s configure the LC300/LC300S. Go to its web interface “Source” > “Network Source Manager”. Add three VC-TR40 AT units into network sources.
4.8 Go to the “Video Channel Manager” tab and click “Edit”. Put the VC-TR40 AT Presenter Mode camera into Channel 2, VC-TR40 AT Audience Mode camera 1 into Channel 3, VCTR40 AT Student Mode camera 2 into Channel 4, and click “Apply”.
4.9 Go to the “Intelligent Director” Select Scene Trigger Timing. You can choose Anytime, Recording only, Streaming only, Recording or Streaming. Select Template. You can choose Presenter*1Audience*2, Presenter*1 Audience*1, Presenter*1, Presenter*2. Set up each camera with a Trigger Event, camera priority, and corresponding Scene. Then click Apply and turn on Intelligent Director.
