Important Safety Instructions
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
DANGER: Risk of Electrical Shock
Always unplug this product from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.

- Do not put hands or fingers near the footrest mechanism on the underside of the chair while the product is running. Touching the mechanism can result in injury.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
- Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons. Keep children away from the extended foot support or similar parts.
- Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. This product is designed for personal in-home use; commercial use will void the warranty.
The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) for reduced risk of electric shock. It fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not alter the plug.
Get Ready: Assembly
Unpack the Boxes

Attach the Footrest Frame
1. Remove the two screws from the footrest frame.
2. Insert the ends of the footrest frame into the chair frame (Illustration showing the footrest frame being inserted into the chair frame).
3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, replace the two screws to secure the footrest frame (Illustration showing screws securing the footrest frame).
Attach the Recline Actuator
1. Align the mounting point on the recline actuator with the corresponding bracket in the center of the footrest frame, then insert the hinge pin through the bracket (Illustration showing the recline actuator being aligned and the hinge pin inserted).
2. Install the cotter pin on the end of the hinge pin (Illustration showing the cotter pin being installed on the hinge pin).
Secure the Canvas Around the Footrest Frame
1. Pull the canvas firmly toward the footrest (Illustration showing the canvas being pulled and secured with hook-and-loop fasteners around the footrest frame).
2. Wrap the two upper flaps around the footrest frame, then secure them to the canvas using the hook-and-loop fasteners.
3. Pull the canvas firmly toward the footrest, wrap the end flap around the footrest frame, then secure the flap to the underside of the canvas using the hook-and-loop fasteners (Illustration showing the end flap of the canvas being secured to the underside).
4. Pull firmly outward on the two side flaps, wrap them around the footrest frame, then secure the flaps to the underside of the canvas using the hook-and-loop fasteners (Illustration showing the side flaps of the canvas being secured to the underside).
Attach the Headrest Frame
1. Remove the two screws from the backrest frame.
2. Insert the ends of the backrest frame into the chair frame (Illustration showing the backrest frame being inserted into the chair frame).
3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, replace the two screws to secure the backrest frame (Illustration showing screws securing the backrest frame).
Secure the Canvas Around the Headrest Frame
1. Pull the canvas firmly toward the headrest.
2. Wrap the upper flap around the headrest frame, then secure it to the canvas using the hook-and-loop fasteners (Illustration showing the canvas being pulled and secured with hook-and-loop fasteners around the headrest frame).
Important: Be sure to pull the canvas as tight as possible for proper chair performance.
Attach the Body Pad
1. Slide the headrest end of the body pad over the headrest frame (Illustration showing the headrest end of the body pad being slid onto the headrest frame).
2. Slide the footrest end of the body pad over the footrest frame (Illustration showing the footrest end of the body pad being slid onto the footrest frame).
3. Standing at the footrest, grasp both sides of the body pad and lift it upward (Illustration showing a person grasping the sides of the body pad and lifting it upward).
4. Push the body pad firmly toward the backrest, then lower it to the seat canvas, securing it using the hook-and-loop fasteners (Illustration showing the body pad being pushed toward the backrest and lowered onto the seat canvas, then secured).
Attach the Head Pillow
Attach the head pillow straps to the headrest straps by joining the hook-and-loop fasteners. Adjust the head pillow height for maximum comfort (Illustration showing the head pillow straps being attached to the headrest straps with hook-and-loop fasteners).
Take a Seat: Usage
Plug It In
Plug the chair into an appropriate power source.
Adjust the Recline Angle
Use the recline switch located on the left-hand chair leg to recline and incline the chair. Before adjusting, ensure there are no obstructions behind or beneath the chair. Press and hold the back of the switch to recline; press and hold the front of the switch to incline (Diagram illustrating the recline switch on the chair leg. Adjust the Headrest
While seated, reach up with both hands and grasp both sides of the headrest frame. Tilt the headrest forward or backward for maximum comfort (Diagram showing a person seated, with arrows indicating tilting the headrest forward or backward).
Care and Maintenance
To keep your product working and looking its best, follow these simple care guidelines.
WARNING (Cleaning)
- Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Clean the controller or power switch with a dry cloth only. Never use a damp cloth.
- Test cleaning solutions on a small, inconspicuous part of the product first to ensure colorfastness.
- Do not use benzene, thinner, or other solvents on your product.
Cleaning Code Standard: W
Dust frequently and/or vacuum with a soft brush attachment. SofSuede® products can be brushed with a suede brush. For dirt, use a water-based upholstery cleaner. For stains, spot clean with upholstery shampoo or mild detergent foam.
Maintenance and Repair
- The chair's mechanics are designed to be maintenance-free; no periodic lubrication or servicing is required.
- Service should only be performed by an authorized service center.
Use and Storage Environment
- For long periods of non-use: cover the chair, coil the power cord, and store in a dust- and moisture-free environment.
- Do not store near heat or open flame.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause fading or damage.
- Do not use or store in extreme temperatures. Products stored in cold temperatures may require 48 hours at room temperature to function properly.
- Use and store in an environment with 10-80% non-condensing humidity. Excessive humidity will damage the mechanics.
