SMT Disclaimer
Due to the complex nature of the use of SMT installed components in Yorkville equipment, Yorkville Sound highly cautions all service technicians against attempting to repair or replace SMT factory-installed components. Many of these components may be glued prior to initial soldering. Replacing SMT components requires expensive, specialized de-soldering equipment and training. Yorkville Sound will repair and replace defective SMT components to ensure proper quality assurance and installation is maintained.

Block Diagram
The EXM Pro10 features a digital signal processing (DSP) core for its mixer and effects. It includes three input channels with independent controls for Level, Input Type (Line, Mic, Inst), EQ (Low, Mid, High), and Effects (Reverb, Delay, Comp). Channel 3 also includes Bluetooth connectivity. Master controls include Level and Mode (Live, Club, Mon). The unit has a main XLR input and output. LED indicators provide feedback on channel activity, input type, EQ, effects, master status, and battery level. The block diagram illustrates the signal flow from inputs through the DSP to the amplifier and speaker components.
Parts Reference List
The document includes detailed parts reference lists for various assemblies, such as the EXM10 PCB AMP (M2414-03) and EXM10 PCB INPUT (M2415-59). These lists provide component designators (REF), manufacturer part numbers (YS #), and descriptions for resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, connectors, and other electronic components used in the EXM Pro10.
Circuit Schematics
The schematics detail the internal circuitry of the EXM Pro10, broken down into functional blocks:
- Power Supply: Includes Battery Management, Battery Pack monitoring, and On/Off Switch circuits.
- Power Management: Manages power distribution, sleep modes, and amplifier enable signals.
- Input Board: Handles signal input for channels 1, 2, and 3, including combi-jacks, Bluetooth, and auxiliary inputs.
- Amp: Contains the audio amplification circuitry, including power stages and output drivers.
- Battery Management: Details the battery charging, level monitoring, and temperature monitoring systems.
- Power Management: Outlines the power supply rails (+5V, +12V, -12V) and control signals for system operation.
- Amp: Shows the power amplifier stages and associated components.
- Input Jacks: Illustrates the physical input connectors (XLR, 1/4", 3.5mm, USB) and their associated circuitry.
- Stereo Channel Input: Details the circuitry for stereo input channels, including signal processing and LED indicators.
- Main In & Out: Describes the main input and output signal paths, including master controls and buffered output.
- Codec: Details the audio codec circuitry responsible for digital audio conversion and processing.
- Microcontroller: Shows the main control unit, its connections to various peripherals (Bluetooth, LEDs, switches, sensors), and power management functions.
- Bluetooth: Outlines the Bluetooth module (BM83) and its interface with the microcontroller.
- Mixer LEDs: Details the circuitry for the LED indicators on the mixer controls, providing visual feedback on signal levels, modes, and battery status.
Bluetooth Operation
The EXM Pro10 supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming. Users can pair devices by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for 4 seconds. The LED indicator on the button shows the connection status. Volume can be controlled via the connected Bluetooth device or the Ch. 3 Level control. Stereo mode allows for wireless stereo playback between two EXM Pro10 units. The Bluetooth range is rated at 10 meters (33 feet) line of sight, with performance affected by environmental factors.
Mixer Controls Overview
Each of the three mixer channels features combi-jacks for versatile input options (Mic, Line, Instrument). Channel 3 includes Bluetooth and a 1/8-inch stereo input. Controls for each channel include Level, Input Type, EQ (Low, Mid, High), and Effects (Reverb, Delay, Comp). The Master controls adjust the overall output level and allow selection of operating modes (Live, Club, Mon). The Main Input/Output jacks provide line-level connectivity for external audio sources or subwoofers.
Battery Information
The unit has a 5-segment LED battery status indicator. The EXM Pro10 can be operated while charging. The battery will not charge if the temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C. For long-term storage, periodic charging is recommended. Battery performance modes (Full Power and Extended Life) allow users to optimize runtime.
Additional Features
- Auto-Standby: The unit enters a low-power sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
- Factory Reset: A factory reset can be performed by holding down the channel select buttons 1 and 3 for 5 seconds.
- USB Power Output: A USB port provides a 5V output at up to 500mA for charging external devices.
