Installation and Use of Distiller Equipment

The electric still equipment is installed from bottom to top:

  1. Put the filtered wine mixture into the bucket according to capacity, cover the lid, and buckle it.
  2. Place the condenser keg on top.
  3. Adjust the condenser barrel position and place silicone pads on connection sides.
  4. Rotate the joint clockwise to tighten.
  5. Install the one-way exhaust valve and other accessories.
  6. Connect the wine outlet pipe to the condensation tower's outlet, one end of the water inlet pipe to the water pump, the other end to the water inlet, and connect the outlet pipe to the water outlet.

Installation Details:

Ensure all parts are assembled tightly without air leakage.

General Assembly: Fix the lid on the barrel with iron clips. Adjust the cooling tower position on the barrel cover, ensuring the connection is covered with a silicone pad. Install and fix the one-way exhaust valve and other accessories. Tightly connect the condensation tower and wine outlet pipe, then install the water inlet and outlet pipes. Correctness and firm installation are crucial. All parts of the container, except for the gap between the liquid pipe and receiving bottle, should be tightly assembled without air leakage.

Operating Instructions for Electrothermal Still Heating:

  1. After installation, ensure the temperature control switch knob is in the ready position.
  2. Turn on the power; the green light indicates standby state.
  3. Turn the temperature control switch knob clockwise; the yellow light indicates the heating plate is working. Adjust to the desired temperature.
  4. When the set temperature is reached, the yellow light turns off, and automatic constant temperature is maintained within the set range.
  5. After use, turn the temperature control switch knob to off and unplug the power.

Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Clean the inside of the pot, condenser, and other components before or after each use, draining all impurities. Clean the distilled water dispenser periodically. Pay attention to cleaning the inner wall of the evaporation pot, condenser, condenser tube surface, and scale in the condenser outlet pipe to avoid affecting use.
  2. Before starting, verify the power supply voltage matches the machine's voltage. Ensure socket contact meets safety standards, and the leakage protection switch and ground wire are installed correctly.
  3. The product base contains electrical parts; do not place the instrument in water or excessively humid environments.
  4. During use, monitor the liquid level. If it drops, turn off power and check if the return water is unblocked. If water is cut off or the level is below the heating tube, it can cause the heating tube to explode and leak electricity, posing a serious danger. If the water level rises and boils, turn off power and water source immediately. This may indicate a burnt-out heating tube, requiring professional maintenance.
  5. For newly purchased stills, clean them first and run electricity for over 2 hours to evaporate until the distilled water meets requirements.
  6. Remember not to cut off water during use.
  7. When the still is working, its surface temperature is very high; avoid touching to prevent burns. Wait for the temperature to drop before washing.
  8. If the plug or wire is wet, or hands are wet, do not touch them to avoid electric shock.
  9. Do not use cleaning agents during cleaning to prevent accidental ingestion of residues.
  10. To maintain optimal operation, it is recommended not to exceed 70% of the rated volume during distillation.

Important Functions of Exhaust Gas Path

  1. The exhaust gas channel discharges graded impurities and improves wine quality. For example, methanol, acetaldehyde, ethyl acetate, and ethyl formate have lower boiling points than ethanol, making them difficult to liquefy and causing them to be discharged with exhaust gas, preventing them from entering the finished wine.
  2. The exhaust gas path aids in anaerobic wine loading, contributing to better wine quality. The lid is sealed with a small vent reserved.

Pipe Connection Diagrams

Tap Water Connection:

If tap water is used for direct cooling, the water flow can be controlled. Producing liquor temperature can be managed by water flow to align with cooling water temperature.

Circulating Water via a Water Pump:

When using circulating water, if the water temperature exceeds 35°C, it is recommended to change the water. The maximum temperature should not exceed 40°C, as the production fluid temperature is determined by the input cooling water temperature.

How to Use

Distill Liquor:

  1. Choose good common rice for steaming. Add 500g grain, 1kg water, and 5g distilled yeast. Mix well and carry out liquid fermentation.
  2. Fermentation temperature: 20-25°C. Stir once daily. Fermentation duration: 10-20 days.
  3. Fill the fermented grain into the matching filter bag and pour the produced liquid directly into the barrel. Place the bag containing the grain on the grate to prevent gumming. After installation, distillation begins. Connect the pre-prepared submersible pump to the power supply for cooling water circulation when heat is at the outlet.

Distill Hydrolat:

  1. Choose preferred petals or plants.
  2. Soak petals in pure water (3-5 cm depth) for 8 hours (for dried petals).
  3. Take out petals, place them in a matching strainer bag. Place the filter bag with petals on the grate, pour the soaked water into the bucket, install, and start distilling.

Distill Brandy:

  1. Crush grapes and add ingredients like pectinase, yeast, fermentation promoter, and tannin in order.
  2. Add white sugar on the day after fermentation. Separate peels and residues after 7-10 days of fermentation.
  3. Add bentonite to the separated wine for aging and clarification.
  4. Place separated peel and residue into a filter bag, put the bag on the grate, and add water at the bottom of the barrel. The distilled spirit is brandy.

Ferment Wine:

  1. Crush grapes and add sulfur regulating tablets to prevent microbial contamination.
  2. Add pectinase to decompose pectin and increase juice yield.
  3. Add yeast; ferment for 7-10 days to increase juice yield.
  4. Add bentonite for clarification after filtration. Brew for about 1 month and bottle the wine.
