General Precautions
Before using the product, carefully read this manual and any manuals for compatible hardware. Retain instructions for future reference. Parents or guardians of children should read this manual for safe use.
This product has been designed with the highest concern for safety. However, any electrical device, if used improperly, has the potential for causing fire, electrical shock or personal injury. Observe all warnings, precautions, and instructions.
WARNING: YOUNG CHILDREN INJURIES
Keep the product out of the reach of young children. Young children may swallow small parts or may wrap the cables around themselves, which may inflict injury or cause an accident or a malfunction.
NEVER DISASSEMBLE OR MODIFY THE PRODUCT OR ACCESSORIES
There is a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
Precautions: AC Adapter and AC Power Cord
- Stop use and disconnect the AC power cord immediately if the product functions in an abnormal manner, produces unusual sounds or smells or becomes too hot to touch.
- Only use the AC adapter and AC power cord included with the product. The AC adapter and AC power cord are designed specifically for use with this product only. Do not use them with any other products.
- Do not connect the AC power cord to a voltage transformer or inverter. Connecting the cord to a voltage transformer for overseas travel or an inverter for use in a vehicle may cause it to heat up in the AC adapter and may cause burns or a malfunction.
- Unplug the cord and cables if you want to clean or move the product or do not intend to use it for an extended period of time. When disconnecting, hold the cord by the plug and pull straight out of the socket. Never pull by the cord and do not pull out at an angle.
Precautions: Set up and Handling
- Always ensure the product, accessories, or its connectors are free of liquid, excess dust, and small particles.
- Do not leave the product or accessories in direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Do not touch the connectors or insert anything into the product.
- Do not use the product, cables, or connectors if they are damaged or modified.
- Do not leave the product or accessories on the floor or in a place where it may cause someone to trip or stumble.
- Do not place the product or accessories on surfaces that are unstable, tilted, or subject to vibration.
- Do not place heavy items on the product, or cables, throw or drop the product, or otherwise expose it to strong physical impact.
- Do not touch the product or connected cables or accessories during an electrical storm.
- Do not touch any other devices connected to the product with wet hands. Doing so may cause an electrical shock.
- Do not expose the product, accessories or battery to high temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight during operation, transportation, and storage.
- Do not swing the product around by the cable.
- Do not disconnect the VR headset or AC power cord when the PC adapter's status indicator is lit white.
Use and Handling
Use the product and accessories according to the instructions in this manual. No authorization for the analysis or modification of the product, or the analysis and use of its circuit configurations, is provided.
Care and Cleaning
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use thinner, benzine, or alcohol. Avoid using wipes, chemical cloths, and other products that contain such substances.
Let's Get Started
Note: Do not use an extension cable or USB hub with the PC adapter, as it may cause it to malfunction.
Step 1: Install Required Apps
To play SteamVR™ games with your PS VR2, first install Steam®. Then from the Steam® platform, install the Steam VR™ app and the PlayStation®VR2 App. For details, visit the PS VR2 support page: playstation.com/psvr2-pc-spec/
Step 2: Pair PlayStation®VR2 Sense™ Controllers
To pair the left and right controllers:
- Ensure your Windows PC's Bluetooth® function is on.
- Left Controller (L): Simultaneously press and hold the (PS) button + (Create) button until the respective status indicators start to blink.
- Right Controller (R): Simultaneously press and hold the (PS) button + (Options) button until the respective status indicators start to blink.
- Search for your controllers in the Bluetooth® settings and select them to complete the pairing process.
Note: If your Windows PC does not have a built-in Bluetooth® function, you need to connect via an adapter (sold separately). Not all adapters will function properly.
Step 3: Connect PC Adapter to PC
Connect your PC adapter to your Windows PC's USB 3.0 Type-A port.

Step 4: Connect PC Adapter to PC DisplayPort
Use a DisplayPort™ 1.4 cable (sold separately) to connect your PC adapter to your Windows PC's DisplayPort™ port.

Step 5: Connect Power
Connect the supplied AC power cord to the supplied AC adapter. Then, connect the AC adapter to the DC IN connector on your PC adapter.
Make all connections before plugging the AC power cord into an electrical outlet. Your PC adapter's status indicator will turn solid red.

Step 6: Connect VR Headset
Connect your VR headset (included with PS VR2) to your PC adapter's USB Type-C® port and turn it on. Your PC adapter's status indicator and the VR headset's power indicator will turn solid white.

Step 7: Open PlayStation®VR2 App
Open the PlayStation®VR2 App and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup. Once you finish, you're ready to play games.
