Resume play only if cleared by your doctor.
- It may take time to get used to the PlayStation VR2 visuals. Limit initial use sessions.
- Rest: Avoid prolonged continuous use. Take breaks every hour, or more frequently if you experience discomfort.
- Magnets and Medical Devices: This product contains magnets that may interfere with pacemakers, defibrillators, and other medical devices. Do not place this product near such medical devices or individuals using them. Consult your doctor before use if you use such devices.

- Lithium-ion Battery: The controllers contain a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Do not handle damaged or leaking batteries. If battery fluid leaks, stop using the product immediately and contact PlayStation customer service. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with water and seek medical attention. Avoid contact with skin or clothing; if contact occurs, rinse with water and consult a doctor. Do not expose the battery to fire or extreme temperatures. Do not attempt to open, crush, heat, or ignite the controller or battery. Do not overcharge the battery when the controller is not in use.
- Play Area: The headset completely obstructs your view of your surroundings. Ensure you have adequate clear space around you. Be aware of other people, pets, furniture, or obstacles. Ensure the floor is stable and level. Use the play area boundary system to define a safe play space. Be aware that the system may not detect all obstacles. Keep children and pets away from the play area. Do not move around unnecessarily when using content that does not support room-scale. Check the headset cable for entanglement and periodically inspect it during play. Move slowly and carefully when wearing the headset.

- Static Discharge: Static discharge may occur in dry conditions. This is normal and not a product defect.
- Condensation: If the headset is moved from a cold to a warm environment, condensation may form. If this occurs, disconnect the headset and allow it to dry completely.

About PlayStation VR2
By connecting PS VR2 to your PS5 console, you can enjoy virtual reality (VR mode) in compatible PS5 games. In Theater mode, you can watch videos on a large virtual screen and play PS5 and compatible PS4™ games. Video and audio are output only to the VR headset when in Theater mode. PS VR2 is not compatible with PlayStation®4 consoles and cannot play PS4 games in VR mode.
Play Area
The play area is the space where you can safely play in VR mode. A boundary line will appear in VR mode if you approach the edge of this space. If you move outside the play area, the game will pause, and the screen will show your surroundings (see-through view). For your safety, do not leave the play area during gameplay.
The VR headset's tracking cameras scan the room to set up the play area. You can also expand or exclude certain areas. Follow all on-screen instructions to set up your play area and play safely.
Play Modes
You can play in VR mode using three postures and actions (VR play modes). Check the supported VR play modes when purchasing games or applications.
- Room-scale: Requires a play area of 2 meters x 2 meters or larger.
- Standing: For standing play.
- Sitting: For seated play.
See-Through View: The PS VR2 features a see-through view function that allows you to see your surroundings while wearing the headset. Press the Function button (☉) on the VR headset to switch views. The view will also automatically switch to see-through view in the following situations:
- When setting up the play area.
- When moving outside the play area during gameplay.
Setting Up PS VR2
You can configure settings for the VR headset, including the play area and Function button assignments. Select your account as the PS VR2 user, then select [Settings] > [Accessories] > [PlayStation VR2] from the PS5 console's home screen. These settings are only available when the VR headset is turned on and connected to the PS5 console.
Child Settings
Parents and guardians can restrict children's access as needed. From the PS5 console's home screen, select [Settings] > [Family and Parental Controls] to set restrictions for each child. Refer to the PS5 console's user guide for details.

Using and Disposing of the Product
Do not disassemble or modify the product or accessories. Use the product and accessories as described in this manual. Unauthorized modification voids the manufacturer's warranty.
Tracking: PS VR2 detects head and hand movements using the tracking cameras on the headset and the tracking rings on the controllers. Do not apply stickers to the tracking cameras or rings, or cover them with fabric or your hands.
Controller Disposal:
- Charge controllers within a temperature range of 10°C to 30°C. Charging outside this range may reduce charging efficiency.
- The lifespan of the battery is limited. Battery life decreases with repeated use and aging. Battery life also depends on storage, usage, and environmental factors.
- If the controllers will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to charge them at least once a year to maintain battery function.
Earbuds: When removing earbuds, pull the plug straight out. Do not pull at an angle.
Replacing Ear Tips: The included stereo earbuds come with medium (M) size ear tips. If they do not fit your ears, replace them with small (S) or large (L) size ear tips for a better fit. To remove, twist the ear tip and pull it off the earbud. Ensure ear tips are securely attached to prevent them from falling off during use.
Maintenance and Cleaning
For your safety, remove the VR headset from the PS5 console and turn off the controllers before cleaning. Follow these precautions to prevent discoloration or damage to the product's exterior:
- Do not use volatile substances such as insecticides.
- Do not allow rubber or vinyl materials to come into prolonged contact with the product.
- Do not use thinners, gasoline, or alcohol. Avoid using wet wipes, chemically treated cloths, or other products containing such substances.
VR Headset Exterior and Head Support Padding, Controller Exterior: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
Ports and Jacks: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If ports or jacks on earbuds become dirty, you may hear noise or experience intermittent sound.
Lenses: Wipe only with a soft, dry cloth specifically designed for cleaning lenses. Do not use paper products such as tissues or paper towels. Water droplets or dirt remaining on the lenses may cause damage or deterioration.
Light Shield:
- Remove the light shield from the VR headset. Gently pull and twist the base of the right or left side of the light shield, then remove it from the protrusions on the VR headset. Handle with care to avoid breakage.
- Wash the light shield with water.
- Wipe away moisture with a soft, dry cloth. Allow the light shield to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before use.
- Attach the light shield to the VR headset. Insert the 14 protrusions on the VR headset into the fixing holes on the light shield, then push the protrusion on the nose area of the light shield into the groove on the VR headset.
Recycling of Old Products
These products are made of various recyclable materials. Each controller contains a lithium-ion battery. Dispose of these products in accordance with local regulations.
Caution: Replacing the battery with an incorrect type may result in an explosion hazard. Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.
Ventilation Holes: Use a handheld vacuum cleaner or similar product to remove dust from the ventilation holes.
Ear Tips: Remove the ear tips from the stereo earbuds and hand wash them with mild detergent. Dry them completely with a soft cloth before reattaching them to the earbuds. For details on removing ear tips, see "Replacing Ear Tips" (page 17).
