Product Overview
The Klipsch R-10B is a soundbar and subwoofer system designed to enhance your audio experience. It includes a soundbar for clear dialogue and immersive sound, and a subwoofer for deep bass.
Included Accessories
The system comes with the following accessories:
- AC Adapter / Power Cord: For powering the soundbar and subwoofer.
- Rubber Feet: To provide stability and prevent scratching surfaces.
- Digital Optical Cable: For a high-quality digital audio connection.
Connections
The R-10B can be connected to your TV using several methods:
Digital Optical Connection (Preferred)
Connect the soundbar to your TV using the included digital optical cable. Ensure the TV's audio output is set to optical.
Steps:
- Connect the optical cable to the TV's 'Digital Audio Out' port.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the soundbar's 'Optical' port.
- Connect the AC adapter to the soundbar's 'DC IN' port.
- Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet.
- Turn on the soundbar using the power button.
3.5mm to Dual RCA Analog Connection
Use this connection if your TV does not have an optical output. This method uses a 3.5mm to dual RCA cable (not included).
Steps:
- Connect the 3.5mm end of the cable to your TV's headphone jack.
- Connect the red RCA plug to the soundbar's 'R' (Right) input.
- Connect the white RCA plug to the soundbar's 'L' (Left) input.
- Connect the AC adapter to the soundbar and plug it into a power outlet.
- Turn on the soundbar.
Dual RCA to Dual RCA Analog Connection
This connection is used for analog audio output from your TV.
Steps:
- Connect the red RCA plug to the TV's 'R' (Right) audio out.
- Connect the white RCA plug to the TV's 'L' (Left) audio out.
- Connect the other ends of the RCA cables to the corresponding 'R' and 'L' inputs on the soundbar.
- Connect the AC adapter to the soundbar and plug it into a power outlet.
- Turn on the soundbar.
Subwoofer Wireless Connection
The subwoofer connects wirelessly to the soundbar. Ensure the soundbar is powered on.
Steps:
- Plug the subwoofer's power cord into the subwoofer and then into a power outlet.
- The subwoofer should automatically pair with the soundbar. A blue light on the subwoofer indicates a successful connection.
- If pairing fails, press and hold the pairing button on the back of the subwoofer for 3 seconds.
Subwoofer Rear Panel:
- Power Input: Connect the power cord here.
- Volume Control: Adjust the subwoofer's volume level.
- Pairing Button: Used for wireless pairing.
Indicator Lights:
- Blue Light: Indicates a successful wireless connection.
- Red Light: Indicates a pairing or connection error.
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
Connect your Bluetooth-enabled devices to the soundbar for wireless audio streaming.
Connecting a Device:
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and turn it on.
- Select 'Klipsch R-10B' from the list of available devices.
- The soundbar will indicate a successful connection with a solid blue light.
Recommended Distance: Maintain a distance of up to 30 feet (15m) between your device and the soundbar for optimal performance.
Disconnecting a Device:
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and turn off Bluetooth or disconnect from the 'Klipsch R-10B'.
- Alternatively, press and hold the 'Mute' button on the soundbar remote for 3 seconds to disconnect all Bluetooth devices.
Soundbar Placement
For optimal sound, place the soundbar in front of your TV, centered and at ear level. If wall-mounting, use the provided template and ensure it is level before drilling pilot holes.
Placement Options:
- On a shelf or stand in front of the TV.
- Wall-mounted using the included template.
Subwoofer Placement
The subwoofer's placement can significantly impact bass performance. Experiment with different locations in your room.
General Guidelines:
- Corner placement often enhances bass output.
- Avoid placing the subwoofer directly behind large furniture.
- Experiment with positions 'A' and 'B' as shown in the diagram to find the best sound.
TV Remote Programming
You can program your TV's remote control to operate the Klipsch R-10B's volume and mute functions.
Steps:
- Press and hold the 'Volume Up' and 'Volume Down' buttons on the soundbar simultaneously until the status light flashes yellow.
- Point your TV remote at the soundbar and press the 'Volume Up' button on your TV remote. The status light should turn solid green.
- Press and hold the 'Volume Down' and 'Mute' buttons on the soundbar simultaneously until the status light flashes yellow.
- Point your TV remote at the soundbar and press the 'Volume Down' button on your TV remote. The status light should turn solid green.
- To program the 'Mute' function, repeat steps 1 and 2, but use the 'Mute' button on your TV remote.
Note: To program Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, repeat the steps shown and replace steps 4 and 6 with the button you want to program.

Status Lights
The status lights on the soundbar indicate different functions:
- White Light: Indicates the soundbar is on and ready.
- 3D Sound Light: Indicates when 3D surround sound is active.
- Green Light: Indicates an optical connection.
- Blue Light: Indicates a Bluetooth connection.
- Yellow Light: Indicates an RCA connection.
Turning Off TV Speakers
To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to turn off your TV's internal speakers when using the Klipsch R-10B system. This can usually be done through the TV's audio settings menu.
Recommended: Navigate to your TV's 'Audio Settings Menu' and select 'TV Speakers: Off'.
Care and Cleaning
To clean the soundbar and subwoofer, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
Cleaning Instructions:
- Gently wipe the surfaces with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
