This document provides essential information for setting up, connecting, and operating your Klipsch Reference R-51PM-1, R-15PM-1, or R-50PM powered monitor speakers. These speakers are designed to deliver high-quality audio performance for various applications, including TV, computer, and turntable connections, with the added convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology.

Right Speaker (Active) Overview
The right speaker is the active unit, housing all the necessary connections and controls. Below is a description of its key components and ports:
- Speaker Driver Assembly: Features a tweeter and a woofer for full-range sound reproduction.
- Volume/Source Control (3): A rotary knob to adjust volume and select input sources.
- Analog In/Out (4): Includes Line and Phono inputs for various audio sources.
- Auxiliary 3.5mm Input (5): For connecting devices with a 3.5mm audio jack.
- Subwoofer Output (6): Connect an external powered subwoofer for enhanced bass.
- Optical Input (7): For digital audio connections from TVs or other optical sources.
- USB Audio Input (8): Connect to a computer for high-quality digital audio playback.
- Left Speaker Out (9): Connects to the passive left speaker using the included speaker wire.
- Ground Screw Terminal (10): For connecting a turntable's ground wire to reduce hum.
- Mains Inlet (11): Power input for the speaker (100V-240V~50Hz/60Hz, 80W).

Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Klipsch powered monitor speakers:
- Connect Speakers: Use the supplied speaker wire to connect the 'LEFT SPEAKER OUT' terminal on the active right speaker to the corresponding terminals on the passive left speaker. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Connect Audio Source: Choose your desired audio source (TV, computer, turntable) and connect it to the appropriate input on the active right speaker. Refer to the specific connection sections below for details.
- Connect Power: Plug the main power cord into the 'AC IN' inlet on the active right speaker, then plug the other end into a wall outlet.
Connections - TV
To connect your speakers to a TV, you have several options:
- Optical Connection: Use the Digital Optical Cable (included with R-51PM only) to connect your TV's Digital Audio Out (Optical) to the OPTICAL input on the speaker.
- Analog Connection: Use an RCA audio cable to connect your TV's Audio Out (RCA) to the LINE input on the speaker.
- Auxiliary 3.5mm Connection: Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect your TV's headphone output or auxiliary output to the AUX input on the speaker.
Important: Your TV may need to be set to PCM (or Stereo Only) output mode for digital audio connections.
Connections - Computer
To connect your speakers to a computer (PC/Mac):
- USB Audio Connection: Use the supplied USB Cable (A to B) to connect your computer's USB port to the USB AUDIO input on the speaker. This provides a high-quality digital audio connection.
- Auxiliary 3.5mm Connection: Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect your computer's headphone output or auxiliary output to the AUX input on the speaker.
Connections - Turntable
To connect your speakers to a turntable:
- Phono Input: Connect your turntable's RCA audio outputs to the PHONO IN/OUT (R/L) inputs on the active speaker.
- Ground Connection: If your turntable has a ground wire, connect it to the GND screw terminal on the speaker to reduce hum.
Ensure the PHONO/LINE switch on the speaker is set to PHONO for turntables with a built-in pre-amplifier, or LINE for turntables without a pre-amplifier (requiring an external phono pre-amp).

Pairing a New Device
- Hold 3 Seconds: Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the remote for 3 seconds. The LED source indicator will flash blue, indicating pairing mode.
