3.0 BOARD DESCRIPTION
The board features several key components and connectors. On the top left, a jumper labeled 'Jumper Probe for the resistor of Pull-up in REQ or NOT REQ' is visible. To its right is a 3.5mm jack connector labeled 'Connector jack for probe'. Further right, a 1/4" jack connector is labeled 'EXT_E-STOP NOT USED or USED' and 'Connector Jack for External E-STOP (Secondary)'. On the left side, an RJ45 connector is labeled 'Connector for C62, C76 or C82'. Below that, another jumper is labeled 'Jumper Probe, for the pin of RJ45 (Pin_4 or Pin_5)'. Along the bottom edge are terminal blocks labeled 'Power terminal (5VDC@200mA)', 'Signal of Enable', 'Signal of Probe', 'Signal EXT. E-STOP', and 'Terminal E-STOP (Primary)'. The board itself is marked with 'CNC4PC C48REV3.5 ROLE ST.JAK'.
Requirements: It requires a power supply of 5 to 24VDC@200mA to operate.
4.0 CONNECTOR RJ45
This connector allows an easy connection with C62, C76, or C82 boards. These RJ45 connectors are used not just to carry the INPUT/OUTPUT signals placed in terminals, but also to power the board.
RJ45 Pinout:
DESCRIPTION | PIN | SIGNAL |
---|---|---|
GND | 1 | |
NOT USED | 2 | |
EXT. E-STOP/EN | 3 | |
PROBE | 4 | P2_11 |
INDEX | 5 | P1_15 |
EXT. E-STOP/EN | 6 | |
5V/24V | 7 | |
NOT USED | 8 |
5.0 PROBE JUMPER FOR PIN RJ45
If used the board C3 as index, set jumper as sample in the image. Probe PIN = P1_15
Image shows a jumper on pins 1 and 2 of a header labeled 'PROBE PIN RJ45 4 5'.
If used as probe, set the jumper as sample in the image. Probe PIN = P2_11
Image shows a jumper on pins 2 and 3 of a header labeled 'PROBE PIN RJ45 4 5'.
6.0 PROBE JUMPER FOR RESISTOR
Set jumper in REQUIRED position if the input used in the breakout board to connect the probe signal is pulled to DOWN.
Configuration '1-2 REQ' shows a jumper connecting pins 1 and 2 of a header labeled 'PULL-UP RESISTOR'. Configuration '2-3 NO REQ' shows the jumper connecting pins 2 and 3.
7.0 JUMPER EXTERNAL E-STOP
If an External E-STOP (Secondary) is connected, set jumper in USED position; if not, set jumper in position NOT USED.
Configuration '1-2 NOT USED' shows a jumper connecting pins 1 and 2 of a header labeled 'EXT_E-STOP'. Configuration '2-3 USED' shows the jumper connecting pins 2 and 3.
8.0 JUMPER E-STOP
If used a power supply of 5VDC, set the two jumpers as sample in the image.
Image shows a header labeled 'OUT-EN AND EXT.F-STOP' with jumpers set to '1-2 = 5V'. Below, the labels indicate '1-2 = 50' and '2-3 = 24U'.
If used a power supply of 24VDC and the output of terminal de EN and EXT E-STOP will work with 24V, set jumper as sample in the image.
Image shows the same header 'OUT-EN AND EXT.E-STOP' with jumpers set to '2-3 = 24V'.
9.0 TERMINALS
9.1 Signal of Enable
Signal internally wired to the EXT. E-STOP signal. It can be used as an external enable for a breakout board.
The terminal block displays labels for power and signals. From left to right, they are: 'R 5/24V', 'GND', 'PROBE', 'EN', 'EXT E-STOP', 'E-STOP'.
9.2 Signal EXT. E-STOP
This signal is the result of the series between E-STOP (Primary) and EXT. E-STOP (Secondary).
The terminal block displays labels for power and signals. From left to right, they are: 'R 5/24V', 'GND', 'PROBE', 'EN', 'EXT E-STOP', 'E-STOP'.
9.3 E-STOP (Primary)
An E-STOP must be connected to these terminals in order to get any E-STOP signal in the EXT. E-STOP terminal.
The terminal block displays labels for power and signals. From left to right, they are: 'R 5/24V', 'GND', 'PROBE', 'EN', 'EXT E-STOP', 'E-STOP'.
10.0 WIRING SAMPLE
10.1 Connection probe
This wiring diagram illustrates a sample product application connecting a UC300ETH Ethernet Motion Controller to the CNC4PC C48 board and a probe. The diagram shows an ETHERNET CONNECTION from the controller to the C48 board. The C48 board has various ports and jumpers labeled, including 'COM1 = 5V', 'PULL-UP 1-2 REQ', and 'PROBE PIN = 5'. The diagram indicates that if using C78 or C62 boards, external power should not be applied. A probe is shown connected to the C48 board, with lines indicating 'Collision Detection', 'GND', and '-Probe'.
Note: This wiring is just to illustrate a sample product application. Specific wiring may vary from system to system. It is the user's responsibility to implement it correctly.
