DIY Pergola Project Plans
This document provides plans for building both an 8x8 and a 10x10 pergola using Simpson Strong-Tie Outdoor Accents hardware. Please review the License Agreement and Terms before starting your project.

Installation Steps
- Install all four post bases and posts.
- Install longer beams (C) on top of posts on two parallel sides. Tip: Attach L straps (APVL4) to beams before placing beams on top of posts.
- Install two knee braces on each side to reinforce the post-to-beam connection.
- Install shorter beams (B) on remaining opposite sides and install APVA4 angles to each inside corner.
- Install remaining knee braces.
Foundation View
The foundation design and attachment to existing foundation is by designer. See note 1 below.

Post-to-Footing Connection
A diagram illustrating the connection of a 4x4 post to a foundation using APVB44, SDWS22312DBB, and STN22. Sub-grade preparation and reinforced concrete footing are per designer. Minimum 4" embedment depth is required.

- The term "designer" means a licensed/certified building design professional, a licensed professional engineer, or a licensed architect.
