Introduction
Proper cleaning of the milk reservoir and dispensing tube is crucial for maintaining the performance and hygiene of your coffee machine's milk frothing system. Regular cleaning prevents milk residue buildup, which can lead to frothing issues, affect coffee flavor, and cause unpleasant odors.
Storing the Milk Reservoir with Milk
If you wish to store the milk reservoir with milk in the refrigerator after use, follow these cleaning cycle instructions:
- Place a large, empty cup under the milk dispensing tube. Ensure there is water in the machine's water tank.
- Aim the milk dispensing tube into the empty cup.
- Press and hold the 'Latte' button for 3 seconds. The machine will dispense hot water from the milk dispensing tube.
- This cleaning cycle will run for 35 seconds and then stop automatically.
- Repeat steps 1-4 if necessary to ensure all milk residue is thoroughly cleaned.
- The milk dispensing tube is now clean, and the milk reservoir with milk can be stored in the refrigerator.
Complete Cleaning of the Milk Reservoir
For a thorough cleaning of the milk reservoir and dispensing tube, follow these deep cleaning cycle instructions:
- Place a large, empty cup under the milk dispensing tube. Ensure there is water in the machine's water tank.
- Remove the milk reservoir from the machine and discard any remaining milk. Fill the reservoir with clean water.
- Aim the milk dispensing tube into the empty cup.
- Press and hold the 'Latte' button for 3 seconds. The machine will dispense hot water from the milk dispensing tube. This cleaning cycle runs for 35 seconds and stops automatically.
- Press and hold the 'Cappuccino' button for 3 seconds. The machine will generate steam from the milk dispensing tube. This process runs for 2 minutes and stops automatically.
- Repeat steps 1-5 to ensure all milk residue is completely removed.
- Rinse and wash all parts of the milk reservoir container and lid thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the finish. The milk reservoir and lid are not dishwasher safe.
Cleaning the Milk Lid
If the milk frother is not functioning correctly, follow these steps:
- Important: If the milk function fails to produce milk foam, use a 0.2mm needle to clear any blockage below the air hole. (See Fig. 1)

- To rinse the milk reservoir lid, remove the air inflow rubber plug. (See Fig. 2-3)
