Sensor Opening Procedure

To access the TX 8000 board for registration, battery replacement, or unregistering from the control unit, open the lock with the help of a screwdriver and remove its base. This will expose the board for handling.

After opening, remove the plate and insert the battery (model CR2450), ensuring correct polarity.

Enrolling the TX 8000 Transmitter

The transmitter registration can be performed via the AMT 8000 Desktop Programmer software, the AMT mobile application, keyboard commands, or the synchronization button on the alarm center. The following describes registration via the control panel's synchronization button:

  1. Press the alarm control panel synchronization button.
  2. LED 3 on the control panel will stay on for 3 minutes, indicating it is ready for transmitter registration.
  3. Insert the battery into the transmitter.
  4. Press the transmitter sync switch.
  5. The status LED will flash green, indicating successful registration. If it flashes red, the registration failed, and the procedure must be repeated.

Deleting the Transmitter Registration

To remove the device from the control panel, perform these two steps:

  • Transmitter: Press and hold the transmitter's sync switch for approximately 10 seconds. The status LED will blink red twice slowly.
  • Alarm control panel: Enter programming mode and enter the command: Enter + 71 + Zone N° + Enter. (Zone N° can be from 01 to 64).

For alternative removal methods, consult the complete manual of the AMT 8000 control panel.

The TX 8000 transmitter provides signal level indications for communication with the AMT 8000 control panel, aiding in selecting the optimal installation location. Follow this procedure:

  1. After registration, take the sensor to the environment you wish to protect.
  2. Position the sensor in the exact location where it will be installed. Simulate an opening and closing event (e.g., opening and closing a door or window) to test transmission.
  3. Observe the LED status color and consult the table below to determine if the sensor can be installed in that location.
LED Status and Communication Level
LED StatusCommunication Level
GreenExcellent signal level (recommended installation location)
OrangeRegular signal level (Not recommended location for installation; communication failure may occur)
RedNo communication (Do not install on site)

If the signal level is not excellent, reposition the TX 8000 and repeat the procedure.

Installation

The TX 8000 can be secured using double-sided tape or screws. For tape installation, clean the surface before applying it to the product base. For screw installation, use the pre-drilled holes on the base. The recommended screw size is 18x3 mm.
