- Press, then press and hold the power button to turn the D-RTK 3 on/off.
• If you use a non-recommended charger, such as a charger with a 5V output, the product can only be charged after it is powered off.
1.4 Activation Instructions
The D-RTK 3 must be activated before first use. The GNSS signal indicator flashes red when not activated.
- Power on the aircraft and the remote controller. Ensure the aircraft is connected to the remote controller.
- Power on the D-RTK 3. Open the DJI Agras app and select D-RTK Station in Device Management. Select the desired D-RTK 3 from the search results and wait until the remote controller displays the connection to the D-RTK 3 broadcast network.
- After connecting, activate the D-RTK 3 by following the instructions in the app. Ensure the remote controller is connected to the internet during activation.
2. Preparation
2.1 Environmental Requirements
- The installation environment requires a wide field of view. Ensure there are no obstructions (trees, buildings) within a 15° angle above the horizontal plane of the product's antenna to prevent GNSS signals from being absorbed or blocked.
- Use the product in an open environment free from radio interference. Avoid using wireless devices that use the same frequency band as the product.
- The setup location should be at least 200 m from high-power radio sources (such as television stations, microwave stations, etc.) and at least 50 m from high-voltage transmission lines to avoid electromagnetic interference with GNSS signals.
- The setup location should be far from bodies of water or large objects that significantly interfere with satellite signal reception to reduce multipath effects.
2.2 Notices
- DO NOT bend or fold cables excessively during installation.
- During installation and placement, ensure the top of the D-RTK 3 is roughly level with the horizontal surface.
- DO NOT attempt to open any part of the product that has been assembled before delivery.
2.3 Preparation Steps
Use the Survey Rod and Tripod kit (sold separately) for installation. Ensure you choose an open and unobstructed environment. Ensure the tripod is stable during use. (Figure A)
DO NOT change the position or angle of the tripod or D-RTK 3 after the tripod has been leveled, otherwise, it will need to be readjusted.
Figure A: Installation Diagram
The diagram shows the steps for setting up the D-RTK 3 on a tripod. It includes visual cues for attaching the device, leveling, and securing it.
3. Operation
3.1 Notices
- Only use the product within the corresponding frequency bands and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- DO NOT block any of the product's antennas during use.
- Only use genuine or officially authorized parts. Unauthorized parts may cause the system to malfunction and compromise safety.
- Ensure no foreign materials such as water, oil, dirt, or sand are inside the product.
- The product contains precision parts. Be sure to avoid collisions to prevent damage to precision parts.
- When using the device in rainy or snowy weather, take the necessary waterproof measures. Use with caution and pay attention to lightning protection.
- Handle the sharp ends of survey rods and tripods with care.
- When using survey rods and tripods for installation and height, be mindful of the surrounding environment to avoid tipping or electrical hazards.
- After transportation, the leveling bubble of the survey rod may be offset and can be re-leveled using the bottom screws.
3.2 Indicators
Power Indicator
- > 60%: Green
- 20%-60%: Yellow
- < 20%: Red
• When the battery is low, the buzzer will emit continuous beeping sounds.
• During charging, the indicator will flash quickly when the charging power is sufficient, and flash slowly when it is insufficient.
GNSS Signal Indicator

3.3 Positioning Modes
Click the link below or scan the QR code to watch a tutorial video: https://ag.dji.com/t70/video
After setting the signal source as D-RTK 3, select the positioning mode based on the following usage scenarios:
- PPP: Suitable for scenarios without Network RTK service. When setting up in a location without a network for the first time, use this mode for positioning and save the position coordinates. When setting up in the same location again, select the Custom Coordinates mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning.
- Network RTK/Custom Network RTK: Suitable for scenarios with Network RTK service.
• In the absence of ionospheric interference, use this mode for positioning and save the position coordinates. Even if ionospheric activity and interference occur, positioning can still be achieved without changing the mode.
However, if the D-RTK 3 is restarted or moved during ionospheric activity, it must be set up in the same location, then select the Custom Coordinates mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning.
• Custom Coordinates: When setting up in a location with saved coordinates, select this mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning.
After restarting, use the Custom Coordinates mode for calibration. Set the D-RTK 3 at a location with known coordinates, select the corresponding coordinate point for positioning. Calibration is complete when positioning is successful.
