1.3 Powering On
Charge the D-RTK 3 to activate the internal battery before first use. Ensure you use a USB PD 3.0 charger with a voltage of 9 V to 15 V, such as the DJI 65W portable charger.
1. Connect the charger to the D-RTK 3's USB-C port. When the power indicator lights up, the battery has been successfully activated. Ensure charging until the indicator turns green before use.
2. Press once, then press and hold the power button to turn the D-RTK 3 on/off.
• When using a non-recommended charger, such as a charger with a 5V output, the product can only be charged after powering off.
1.4 Activation Guide
The D-RTK 3 needs to be activated before first use. The GNSS signal indicator will flash red when not activated.
- Power on the aircraft and remote controller. Ensure the aircraft is linked to the remote controller.
- Power on the D-RTK 3. Open the DJI Agras app and select D-RTK Station in Device Management. Select the desired D-RTK 3 from the search results and wait for the remote controller to display the connection to the D-RTK 3's broadcast.
- After connecting, activate the D-RTK 3 by following the instructions in the app. Ensure the remote controller is connected to the internet during activation.
2 Setup
2.1 Environmental Requirements
- The setup environment requires a wide field of view. Ensure there are no obstructions (trees, buildings) within a 15° angle from the product's antenna's horizontal plane to prevent GNSS signals from being absorbed or blocked.
- Use the product in an open environment with no radio frequency interference. Avoid using wireless devices with the same frequency band as the product.
- The installation location should be at least 200 m away from high-power radio transmitting sources (such as TV stations, microwave stations, etc.) and at least 50 m away from high-voltage power lines to avoid electromagnetic interference with GNSS signals.
- The installation location should be away from large bodies of water or objects that cause strong interference to satellite signals to reduce multipath effects.
2.2 Notices
- DO NOT excessively bend or fold the cable during installation.
- During installation and placement, ensure the top surface of the D-RTK 3 is relatively level with the horizontal surface.
- DO NOT disassemble any parts of the product that have been pre-assembled before shipping.
2.3 Setup Steps
Use the Surveying Pole Kit and Tripod (sold separately) for setup. Ensure you choose a spacious, unobstructed environment. Ensure the tripod is stable throughout use. (Figure A)
DO NOT change the position or angle of the tripod or D-RTK 3 after leveling the tripod, otherwise, it needs to be re-leveled.

Diagram shows steps for extending tripod legs, attaching the D-RTK 3 to the tripod, leveling, and securing.
3 Usage
3.1 Notices
- Only use the product within the corresponding frequency bands and comply with local laws and regulations.
- DO NOT shield all antennas of the product during use.
- Only use genuine or officially authorized parts. Unauthorized parts may cause system failures and affect safety.
- Ensure there are no foreign objects such as water, oil, dirt, or sand inside the product.
- The product contains precision parts. Ensure you avoid collisions to prevent damage to precision parts.
- When using the device in rainy or snowy weather, ensure you take necessary waterproofing measures. Use with caution and pay attention to lightning protection.
- Handle the pointed ends of the measuring pole and tripod with care.
- When using the measuring pole and tripod for installation and lifting, pay attention to the surrounding environment to prevent tipping or electrical hazards.
- After transportation, the bubble level of the measuring pole may be misaligned and can be re-leveled using the screw at the bottom.
3.2 Indicators
Power Indicator
- Green Flashing: > 60%
- Yellow Flashing: 20%-60%
- Red Flashing: < 20%
• When the battery is low, the buzzer will beep continuously.
• During charging, the indicator will flash quickly when the charging power is sufficient and flash slowly when it is insufficient.
GNSS Signal Indicator
- Green Solid: Number of satellites received > 30
- Yellow Solid: Number of satellites received 10-30
- Red Solid: Number of satellites received < 10
[1] Slow flashing: The device is not working.

3.3 Positioning Modes
Click the link below or scan the QR code to watch a tutorial video.
After powering on the D-RTK 3 signal, select the positioning mode based on the following usage scenarios.
- PPP: Suitable for scenarios without Network RTK service. When setting up at a location without a network for the first time, use this mode to position and save the location coordinates. When setting up again at the same location, select the Custom Coordinates mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning.
- Network RTK/Custom Network RTK: Suitable for scenarios with Network RTK service. When there is no ionospheric interference, use this mode to position and save the location coordinates. Even if the ionosphere becomes active and interference occurs, positioning can still be achieved without switching modes. However, if the D-RTK 3 is restarted or moved during ionospheric activity, it must be set up at the same location, then select the Custom Coordinates mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning.
- Custom Coordinates: When setting up at a location with saved coordinates, select this mode and choose the saved coordinates for positioning. After restarting, use the Custom Coordinates mode for calibration. Set up the D-RTK 3 at a location with known coordinates, select the corresponding coordinate point for positioning. Calibration is complete when positioning is successful.
4 Maintenance
4.1 Firmware Update
Notices
- Ensure the devices are fully charged before updating the firmware.
- Ensure all steps are followed for the firmware update. Otherwise, the update will fail.

4.2 Exporting Logs
Users can use DJI Assistant 2 to export logs.
4.3 Storage
It is recommended to store the product in an environment with a temperature range of -5° to 30°C (23° to 86°F) when storing for more than three months. Store the product with a battery level of 30% to 50%.
- The battery will enter sleep mode if it runs out of power and is stored for a long time. Recharge the battery to prevent it from entering sleep mode.
- Charge the product at least once every six months to maintain battery health. Otherwise, the battery may be over-discharged, causing irreparable damage to the battery pack.
- DO NOT place the product near heat sources such as heaters or stoves, under direct sunlight, or inside a vehicle in hot weather.
- Ensure the product is stored in a dry environment. DO NOT remove the antenna during storage. Ensure the ports are properly covered.
- DO NOT disassemble the product in any way, as the battery may leak, ignite, or explode.
4.4 Component Replacement
Ensure damaged antennas are replaced promptly. When replacing the antenna, ensure the rubber sleeve is placed on the antenna connector before installing the antenna onto the product. Use the required tools for disassembly and assembly. Tighten to the specified torque during installation.
