1.3 Powering On
Charge the internal battery before first use. Use a PD3.0 USB charger (9-15V), such as the DJI 65W Portable Charger.
- Connect the charger to the USB-C port on D-RTK 3. The battery level indicator will light up, indicating successful activation. Charge until the indicator displays green.
- Press and hold the power button to power the D-RTK 3 on/off.
? When using a non-recommended charger (e.g., 5V-output), the product can only be charged after powering off.
1.4 Activation Instructions
The product requires activation before first use. The GNSS signal indicator blinks red when not activated.
- As a base station/relay station: Activate by following prompts in DJI Pilot 2 when connecting to the aircraft and remote controller. Ensure the remote controller is connected to the internet during activation.
- As a rover station or if DJI Pilot 2 does not prompt activation: Download the latest DJI Assistant 2 (Enterprise Series). Connect D-RTK 3 to a computer via USB-C cable, open DJI Assistant 2, and follow activation instructions.
2 Setup
2.1 Environmental Requirements
- Requires a clear field of vision. Ensure no obstructions (trees, buildings) within a 15° angle above the horizontal plane of the antennas to prevent GNSS signal absorption or blockage.
- Use in an open, radio interference-free environment. Avoid wireless devices using the same frequency bands.
- Setup location should be at least 200m from high-power radio emission sources (e.g., television, microwave stations) and at least 50m from high voltage transmission lines to avoid electromagnetic interference.
- Locate away from large bodies of water or objects that strongly interfere with satellite signal reception to reduce multipath effects.
2.2 Notices
- DO NOT bend or fold the cable excessively during installation.
- During installation and placement, ensure the top side of the D-RTK 3 is level with the horizontal surface.
- DO NOT attempt to disassemble any part already mounted prior to shipping.
2.3 Setup Steps
Base Station/Relay Station
Use the Survey Pole and Tripod kit (sold separately). Choose an open, unobstructed environment. Ensure the tripod is stable. (See Diagram A)
DO NOT change the tripod or D-RTK 3 position/angle after leveling; otherwise, readjustment is required.
Rover Station
Use the survey pole. Download and install the DJI Enterprise App. (See Diagram B)
Diagram A: Base Station/Relay Station Setup Steps
The diagram illustrates mounting the D-RTK 3 onto a survey pole and then onto a tripod. Steps involve attaching the pole to the tripod, securing the D-RTK 3 to the pole, and ensuring stability.
Diagram B: Rover Station Setup Steps
The diagram shows using a survey pole with the D-RTK 3 and indicates downloading the DJI Enterprise app.
3 Usage
3.1 Notices
- Use the product within its corresponding frequency band and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- DO NOT obstruct any antennas during use.
- Use only genuine or officially authorized parts. Unauthorized parts may cause malfunction and compromise safety.
- Ensure no foreign matter (water, oil, soil, sand) is inside the product.
- Handle sharp ends of the survey pole and tripod with caution.
- When using the survey pole and tripod for installation, be mindful of the surrounding environment to prevent toppling or electrical hazards.
- In rainy or snowy weather, take necessary water-resistant measures. Use with caution and pay attention to lightning protection.
- The product contains precision parts; avoid collision to prevent damage.
- After transportation, the survey pole's level bubble may be offset and can be re-leveled using the bottom screw.
3.2 Power Button
Press and hold the power button to power the product on/off. Press the power button three times to switch operating modes.
- Rover Station: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to enter linking status.
- Base Station: Press and hold the power button for 8 seconds to reset the password.
? If the power button is pressed before the product has finished powering on/off, it may not respond. Wait at least 5 seconds and try again.

⚠️ When installing and elevating the product, be mindful of the surrounding environment to prevent toppling or electrical hazards.
? When using the rover station, ensure the survey pole height setting in the DJI Enterprise App matches the actual height.
? When using the base station, rename the product and reset the password in the Precise Positioning Setting within DJI Pilot 2.
3.5 Exporting and Processing Data
Base Station/Relay Station
- Raw satellite observation data is recorded in DAT format files, following the RTCM3.2 protocol, and stored internally.
- Power on the device and connect it to a computer using a USB-C cable.
- Export the raw satellite observation data.
- Import data into DJI Terra for local PPK processing. Refer to the DJI Terra user manual for details.
? Use DJI Terra version 4.4 or later. Third-party decoding tools can convert DAT files to RINEX or other formats for PPK processing.
Rover Station
After completing a task, export the task report from the task library in the DJI Enterprise App. Supported formats include JSON for DJI Terra (mark file) and CSV (UTF-8) for checkpoint files.
- Mark File: In DJI Terra, use GCP Management > Import Mark File to import GCP points. DJI Terra will automatically recognize GCP types, mark errors, and perform result checks and accuracy optimization.
- Checkpoint File: Import to third-party mapping tools for accuracy checks.
