User Manual
This is a fold-and-go solar panel designed for charging portable solar generators. The efficient solar cells are physical batteries that are recyclable and have a limited life cycle. Even after 5 years, the efficiency of solar cells can still exceed 80%.
How it Works
1. Placement and Angle Adjustment
Place your solar panel in an area where you can get the most possible sunlight and adjust the angle to the sun.
- Ensure maximum sunlight exposure: Solar panels must be exposed to direct sunlight. Avoid any shelters like buildings and trees.
- Optimal sun angle: Angle solar panels at 30-60 degrees, making the panel perpendicular to the sun's rays for the best charging effect.
- Surface considerations: If panels must be adhered to other surfaces, avoid damp or irregular surfaces that might cause distortion. The panel can often recover after a second long exposure to sunlight.
- Peak charging times: Choose sunny hours (typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and operate at peak efficiency when the sun is most direct, usually around midday (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM).
- Expected output: In natural environments, actual output may range from 280-320W due to variations in sunlight angle and intensity.
2. Connection to Solar Generator
Connect the solar panel to your solar generator using the appropriate cable. Before charging, turn off your devices to decrease screen consumption and shorten charging time.
Diagram Description: A solar panel is shown connected to a solar generator via a cable.
How to Chain Multiple Solar Modules Together
This product is designed for charging 12V/24V lead-acid batteries, including lithium and other equipment. It is recommended to pair charging with a solar regulator to protect the battery system from overcharging.
You can connect multiple panels using MC4 Y connectors to achieve different outputs. Voltages are additive when panels are connected in series, and currents are additive when panels are connected in parallel.
Important: Only connect panels with similar electrical output within the same string to avoid mismatch effects.
- Series Connection: Connect panels from positive (+) to negative (-) terminals. This increases the total voltage while the current remains the same.
- Parallel Connection: Connect panels from positive (+) to positive (+) and negative (-) to negative (-). This keeps the voltage the same while increasing the total current.
Caution: Excessive solar input voltage can damage portable power stations. Always check the solar input voltage parameter of your portable power station and connect solar panels within the specified voltage range.
Diagram Description (Parallel Connection): Four solar panels are connected side-by-side. The positive terminals of all panels are connected together, and the negative terminals of all panels are connected together. This configuration increases current output while maintaining voltage.
Diagram Description (Series Connection): Four solar panels are connected end-to-end. The positive terminal of one panel is connected to the negative terminal of the next panel, forming a chain. This configuration increases voltage output while maintaining current.
MC4 Connectors
- Keep connectors dry and clean. Ensure that connector caps are hand-tight before connecting the panel.
- Do not attempt to make an electrical connection with wet, soiled, or otherwise faulty connectors.
Warm Tips
- Do not attempt to modify the PCB circuit board inside the unit unless you are a professional technician. ALLPOWERS is not responsible for the results of unauthorized modifications.
- Warranty: ALLPOWERS offers a 3-year material and workmanship guarantee. The output power is guaranteed to be 80% within 5 years and 50% within 10 years of the component's power during the period of inspection.
- The solar panel charger circuit includes an anti-flow restrictor to prevent backflow phenomenon.
- Do not step, jump, or stand on the surface of the solar panel. This can cause small cracks, affecting performance and potentially causing injury.
- If the solar panel is broken, stop using it immediately and contact a professional technician or ALLPOWERS' after-sales service for assistance. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.
- The solar panel has a waterproof rating of IP65. It can withstand water immersion for a short time but is not designed for prolonged immersion. If short-circuited due to water immersion, stop using it and contact the seller.
Maintenance
- This suitcase is primarily for emergency charging. Prolonged outdoor exposure may shorten the product's lifespan.
- Handle the solar panel with care. Avoid bending it or hitting it with sharp objects.
- If panels are mounted on other surfaces, avoid damp or irregular areas that could cause distortion. The panel can often recover after a second long exposure to sunlight.
- It is normal for solar panels to get hot during operation. Allow them to cool down before storing them in the box.
- Dirt and dust accumulation can reduce power output over time. Periodically clean the panel with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent.
- Avoid leaving the panel to charge devices unattended in vehicles, especially in hot summer weather when dashboard temperatures can reach 65-70°C.
- The IP65 waterproof rating means the panel is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. However, it is forbidden to immerse the entire product in water for extended periods.
Disposal Guide
If circumstances permit, please ensure the product is disposed of in a designated recycling bin. Follow local laws for proper disposal procedures.
