Exterior

The application of the Parametric Pixel, the IONIQ 5's signature design element, resulted in an original design.

Space

The indoor design, which includes a flat floor and a universal island, offers a variety of space options tailored to the passenger's needs.

Interior Space Features:

• 01 Universal Island: The universal island can be moved back by up to 140mm, allowing passengers in the second row to access it.
• 02 Relaxation comfort seat (leg rest included): Both front seats are relaxation comfort seats that offer passengers a restful in-vehicle experience.
• 03 Electric sliding seats: Front seats and second-row seats are power-adjustable (they can move forward and backward), allowing passengers to use the vehicle's interior space however they wish.

Sustainability

Eco-friendly materials and techniques have been applied throughout all indoor spaces to ensure sustainability.

Eco-friendly Materials:

• BIO-paint: The dashboard, switches, steering wheel, and door panels are coated in a special BIO-paint made with rapeseed flowers and corn extracts.
• Eco-processed leather: The leather used for the seats was processed in an eco-friendly manner through the use of flaxseed oil extract.
• Eco-friendly fabric: The magnetic fabric pads, headliner, floor carpet, and floor mats are made with eco-friendly textiles manufactured with sugarcane extract. The seats and door trim are covered with material woven from fibers made out of recyclable transparent PET bottles.

Advanced Technology

Driver Assistance and Information Systems:

• Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD): The head-up display shows data necessary while driving in an augmented reality (AR) format to maximize driver convenience.
• 12.3-inch color LCD cluster / 12.3-inch navigation system: The seamless color LCD instrument cluster and navigation system provide an enjoyable driving environment thanks to a wide-open feel. (Note: The screen layout/design may change with regular updates.)
• Remote Smart Parking Assist: The driver can use the smart key, while outside of the vehicle, to move the vehicle into or out of a parking space.

V2L (Vehicle to Load)

The V2L function, which can be used to charge electric devices, gives the user a new level of comfort.

Indoor V2L:

The indoor V2L feature (located under the middle second-row seats) enables the unrestricted use of electronic devices inside the vehicle.

Outdoor V2L:

Passengers can use a wide selection of electronic devices outside the vehicle as well as inside through the outdoor V2L function. The outdoor V2L function ensures a comfortable experience for passengers during outdoor activities in virtually any environment.

Maximum amount of usable electricity: 3.6kW

• Electric scooter: 350W (consumed electricity), Chargeable.
• Portable amp: 560W (consumed electricity), Directly connectable.
• Beam projector (for camping): 140W (consumed electricity), Directly connectable.

Note: Indoor/outdoor V2L can only be used when the battery pack is 20-100% charged. The maximum amount of provided/available electricity may vary depending on the electronic device being used.

Charging

The IONIQ 5 is equipped with the world's first multi-high-speed charging system (400V / 800V), which is compatible with a wide range of charging infrastructures.

Note: Charging time may vary depending on the power base, facility, optional specifications, and/or outside temperature.

How to charge an IONIQ 5 ultra-fast in 18 minutes:

• Start: Search for the nearest charging station. You can search for information on charging stations near your current location from the comfort of the vehicle.
• Charging: Start ultra-fast charging / VESS charging sound notification. Charging will start with a sound notification.
• Finish: Relax while the car is charging. Your vehicle will finish charging before you are done enjoying the relaxation comfort seats. Ultra-fast charging complete. After the battery is charged from 10% to 80% in under 18 minutes, set out for your destination! (350kW / for a battery at room temperature).

Performance

The E-GMP platform lowers the vehicle's center of gravity for increased riding comfort and a dynamic driving experience.

Key Specifications:

• Maximum driving distance for one charging: 458km (Long Range 2WD, 19-inch, without built-in cam). The large-capacity battery pack (77.4kWh) enables long-distance drives and shorter urban trips.
• Max. Power / Max. Torque: 239kW (325PS) / 605Nm. The IONIQ 5's 239kW output provides a fun and dynamic driving experience. (based on total Long Range AWD capacity).

E-GMP Platform

E-GMP is an electric vehicle-dedicated platform for which all functions have been upgraded, including battery, motor, vehicle body, and chassis structure. To guarantee passenger protection and battery safety, extruded aluminum was applied inside the vehicle's side seal for structural safety.

Hyundai SmartSense

Hyundai SmartSense keeps the driver and passengers safe and protected.

Driver Assistance and Safety Features:

• Forward Collision-avoidance Assist: Warns the driver of potential collision risks (e.g., sudden braking of the car ahead, or presence of vehicles, pedestrians, or bicycles). Automatically applies brakes if the risk increases. Also activates brakes for collision risks when turning left or at intersections.
• Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist: Warns the driver of collision risks with vehicles approaching from behind when changing lanes. Automatically shifts the vehicle to avoid collision if the risk increases.
• Safety Exit Assist: Warns passengers if a vehicle approaching from behind is detected when doors are about to be opened. It also activates the electronic child lock to prevent doors from opening.

Driving Assistance Systems:

• Highway Driving Assist 2: Maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and keeps the vehicle centered in its lane, even on curved roads. Automatically changes lanes upon turn signal activation (HDA 2 works above a certain speed).
• Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Safe/Curve/Access road: Maintains a safe speed based on road conditions, automatically reducing speed before reduced-speed zones or curves, and resuming the set speed afterward. Also assists with safe speeds at highway entry/exit points.
• Lane Following Assist: Keeps the car centered in its lane.
• Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-avoidance Assist: Warns the driver of collision risks from the right or left while reversing. Automatically applies brakes if the risk increases.

Exterior Colors

A selection of exterior color options for the IONIQ 5 is presented, including Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Galactic Gray Metallic, Atlas White, Lucid Blue Pearl, Digital Teal-Green Pearl, Shooting-Star Gray Matte, Gravity Gold Matte, and Atlas White Matte. A color combination chart details which interior colors are compatible with each exterior color.

Note: Printed colors may differ from actual vehicle colors. Shooting-Star Gray Matte, Gravity Gold Matte, and Atlas White Matte incur an extra fee.

Interior Colors

Various interior color options are shown, including Black monotone (NNB) with eco-processed synthetic leather seats, Dark Pebble Gray (YGN) with eco-processed natural leather seats (recycled PET fabric combo), Dark Teal (VKE) with eco-processed natural leather seats (recycled PET fabric combo), and Terra Brown (PNY) with eco-processed natural leather seats (recycled PET fabric combo).
