Movement Caliber B741
Your Eco Drive watch does not operate on a conventional battery. It is powered by light that is converted to energy that is stored in a special cell. This cell provides a reserve of power that is used when the watch is not receiving light sufficient for operation and charging.
It is best to expose your watch to light daily to ensure optimal performance. Once fully charged, your timepiece will run for up to 60 days without additional charging. Outlined below are the full recharge times from a complete discharge utilizing various light sources.
INDOOR LIGHT | OUTDOOR LIGHT | ||
---|---|---|---|
Light Source | Recharge Time | Light Source | Recharge Time |
Office Light (Fluorescent light at 6" distance) | *Usually, overhead office light is insufficient to achieve a full charge from a completely depleted power reserve. | Outdoors on a Cloudy Day | 5 hours |
Incandescent light at 20” Distance | 18 hours | Outdoors on a Sunny Day | 2.5 hours |
Optimal charging is achieved with direct outdoor sunlight (not through a window). Sunlight through a window provides less energy than direct outdoor light due to glass filtering and coatings. If charging under this condition, double the specification for outdoor light on a cloudy day.
After fully charging your watch from a complete discharge or some other malfunction, be sure to perform the ALL RESET outlined in your instruction book. You may also find instruction sets on our web site at:http://www.citizenwatch.com/en-us/support/setting-instructions/
