Power Cord Hookup

Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN terminal on the unit and then to a power outlet. Always disconnect from the outlet side first when unplugging.

Download the Google Home App

Use the Google Home app to set up and operate the unit. Download it from Google Play or the App Store. The app is compatible with Android™ (version 4.2 or later) and iOS (version 8.0 or later, supporting iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod touch®).

Wi-Fi Network Connection

Your smartphone or tablet must be connected to the same network as this unit for setup and operation. Ensure network connectivity beforehand.

Initial Setup

Perform the following steps when the unit is powered on:

  1. Start the Google Home app.
  2. Tap "ACCEPT" for the terms of service and privacy policy to initiate the network connection between the unit and your smartphone. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial settings.
  3. After initial setup, you can select a tutorial to practice using your Google Assistant.

Note: Your device may download and apply an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update during installation. This is normal and ensures you have the latest features.

To return the unit's settings to their original factory state, press and hold the microphone mute button for 10 seconds. The LED indicators will flash when initialization starts. This process takes about 20 seconds. The LEDs will turn off when initialization is complete.

Pairing

Pairing is required for the first-time connection with BLUETOOTH devices:

  1. Press and hold the BLUETOOTH button on the unit for 3 seconds. The LED indicators will flash to show pairing has started.
  2. On your BLUETOOTH device, enable the BLUETOOTH function and select "VC-GX30****" from the list of available devices.
  3. All six LEDs will blink on and off upon successful pairing. If they do not blink, pairing failed; retry from step 1.

Repeat these steps to connect additional BLUETOOTH devices. The effective range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet), but actual connection quality may vary.

Playing Back

Once paired or connected:

  1. Initiate playback on the BLUETOOTH wireless technology enabled device. You can also press the BLUETOOTH button on the unit to reconnect the last paired device.

Note: Due to BLUETOOTH technology characteristics, audio playback on the unit may have a slight delay compared to the source device.
