Installation Location and Range
Perform a function test first, with the transmitter and receiver only a few meters apart. Only place the devices in their final installation locations once signal transmission is functioning correctly. This helps ensure that the location, not a faulty cable, is the cause of any problems.
For optimal range, minimize the number of walls or furniture between the transmitter and receiver, as these can significantly reduce range. In ideal conditions with a direct line of sight, the wireless signal range is up to 30 meters. This range may not be achievable indoors due to various factors affecting wireless transmission. Consider reducing the distance between devices or using longer, high-quality HDMI cables.
Initial Operation
The diagram shows a transmitter (1) and a receiver (2) with a 30-meter range indicator.
Steps:
- Connect the transmitter (1) to a source device (e.g., laptop, PC, DVD player, set-top box).
- Use the supplied USB cable to connect the transmitter (1) to a USB port on the HDMI device or an external USB power adapter (5 V/DC, 5 W).
- Connect the receiver (2) to a playback device (e.g., monitor, TV).
- Use the supplied USB cable to connect the receiver (2) to a USB port on the HDMI device or an external USB power adapter (5 V/DC, 5 W).
Once connected, the source image should appear on the playback device. Ensure all devices are powered on and set to the correct inputs.
If space is limited, the supplied HDMI cable can be used to connect the transmitter or receiver, or to reposition them for better range and optimal signal transmission.
Power Supply Note: The HDMI device's power supply may be insufficient for the transmitter or receiver. Using an external USB power adapter is recommended for better performance and stability. Ensure the adapter meets the technical specifications (5 V/DC, 5 W) for the transmitter and receiver.
