A910 Smart Mobile Payment Terminal

1. Checklist
Congratulations on receiving your PAX Technology payment terminal. We do hope you enjoy it! The box you have just opened should contain the following items:
- 1 x PAX A910S Smart Mobile Payment Terminal
- 1 x Thermal Paper Roll
- 1 x AC Power Adapter
- 1 x Battery
- 1 x Cable
2. Product Description
The PAX A910 features the following components:
- Power Button: Located on the side of the terminal.
- Volume Buttons: '+' and '-' buttons for volume control.
- Contactless Card Reader: Located at the top of the terminal.
- Card Reader: A slot for inserting chip cards.
- LCD Display: The main screen for user interaction.
- Smart Card Reader: A slot for smart cards.
3. Installation
The terminal has the following ports and slots:
- USB Port: Connect to a USB-enabled device.
- SAM/SIM/microSD Cards:
- Open the battery cover underneath the terminal.
- Remove the battery.
- Insert SAM/SIM/microSD cards into the corresponding card slots.
- Scanner: Located at the top of the terminal.
- SIM Slots: Labeled SIM1, SAM1, SAM2/SIM2.
- microSD Card Slot: For memory expansion.
4. Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to turn on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to access the shutdown menu and select 'Power Off'.
- Contactless Transactions: Tap a contactless card or smartphone near the top sensor.
- Chip Card Transactions: Insert the chip card into the hybrid chip & magnetic card slot with the chip facing upwards.
- Magnetic Stripe Transactions: Swipe the card through the hybrid chip & magnetic reader with the magnetic stripe facing downwards.
- Paper Receipts: Tear off the receipt at a 45-degree angle.
- Battery Charging: Connect the charging cable; the charging status is shown on the display.
5. General Usage Tips
- Avoid exposing the terminal to direct sunlight, high temperatures, moisture, or dust.
- Do not attempt to repair the terminal if you are not a professional.
- Inspect the IC card slot area for suspicious objects before inserting a card and report any findings.
- Removable doors or covers intended for occasional use (e.g., accessory installation) should be reinstalled correctly following provided instructions.
6. Important Safety Warning
- Do not place the terminal or battery in direct sunlight or in environments with high temperatures, smoke, dust, or dampness.
- Do not disassemble the battery, puncture it, or expose it to fire or excessive heat. Keep away from children and animals.
- Replace any deformed, expanded, or overheated battery immediately.
- Use only PAX Technology-approved power adapters. Using third-party accessories that do not meet specifications may cause fires or explosions and will void the warranty.
- Charge the battery when low, but do not charge continuously for more than 24 hours. If unused for a long time, charge it every 6 months. For optimal performance, consider replacing the battery after 2 years.
- Dispose of the device, battery, and accessories responsibly according to local regulations. Improper disposal can lead to fire, explosion, or environmental damage.
7. Working Mode Tips
The A910S features a Battery Management System (BMS) to protect the lithium battery. It can operate in Desktop Mode (powered by external supply) or Mobile Mode (powered by battery).

- Humidity: 5% to 95% (non-condensing)

10. FCC Regulations
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. It is designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, try the following:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment to a different circuit than the receiver.
- Consult a dealer or experienced technician.
Caution: Modifications not approved by the responsible party may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
FCC RF Exposure Information (SAR)
This device is designed not to exceed FCC emission limits for radio frequency (RF) energy. During testing, it was set to its highest certified power level. Actual SAR levels may be lower as the device uses only the power needed to reach the network. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. The highest reported SAR value for this device near the body is 1.302 W/kg at a separation distance of 5 mm.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model (FCC ID: V5PA910S). SAR information can be found on the FCC website.
For body-worn operation, the device has been tested and meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with accessories that contain no metal and are positioned at least 10mm from the body. Using other accessories may not ensure compliance.
ISED Radiation Exposure Statement
- This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to two conditions: no interference caused by the device, and acceptance of any interference received.
- This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.
- This device complies with RSS-310 of Industry Canada, provided it does not cause harmful interference.
- The device and its antenna must not be co-located or operated with any other antenna or transmitter, except for built-in radios.
- The County Code Selection feature is disabled for products marketed in the US/Canada.
This EUT complies with SAR for general population/uncontrolled exposure limits in ISED RSS-102 and was tested according to IEEE 1528 and IEC 62209 standards. The device and its antenna(s) must not be co-located or operated with any other antenna or transmitter.
For compliance with IC SAR values, use accessories that maintain a minimum separation distance of 10mm from the body. Accessories should not contain metallic components.
The device operates in the 5150-5250 frequency range and is restricted to indoor environments in Canada.
