1. Overview of the Lockset

Indicators
- Red light ?: Represents an incorrect entry or the unit is in programming mode.
- Yellow light ?: Flashes when the batteries are low in power.
- Green light ?: Represents a correct entry.
Clear Button
Press the [Clear] button to cancel any typo or exit programming mode.
Mechanical Keyway
Locks or unlocks the lockset with a valid key.
Battery Cover
Protects the batteries from unexpected damage.
[SET] Button
Press the [SET] button for 1 second to enter programming mode. Press the [SET] button again to exit programming mode. Please refer to Section 2-2 for more information about programming mode.
Interior Thumbturn
Locks or unlocks the lockset manually.
2. How to Lock / Unlock / Program the Lockset
How to Lock/Unlock the Lockset
To lock
- A: Press lock button to lock.
- B: Use a mechanical key to lock.
- C: Lock by mobile app.
To unlock
- A: Enter valid Entry Code or Admin Code.
- B: Use a mechanical key to unlock.
- C: Unlock by mobile app.
How to Program the Lockset
Basic Settings
Change Admin Code
If your lock is in factory setting, set up the Admin Code first to run bolt direction check automatically. Enter a 4-8 digit Admin Code and press [Enter]. Repeat the Admin Code and press [Enter] to complete setup. The Admin Code can be used to program or unlock the lockset. The Admin Code is 4-8 digits.
Add an Entry Code(s)
Entry Codes can be used to unlock the lockset. Entry Code capacity: 200 sets (4-8 digits).
Delete individual Entry Code(s)
Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Enter Entry Code to delete → Press [Enter] → Press [SET] to exit.
Delete all Entry Codes
Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Press [SET] → Press [Enter] to confirm.
Advanced Settings
Add Single-entry Code(s)
Single-use Entry Codes can only be used once to unlock the lockset. Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Enter Single-entry Code → Press [Enter] → Press [SET] to exit.
Vacation Mode
Vacation mode temporarily disables ALL Entry Codes. Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Select 1 for Turn On or 0 for Turn Off → Press [SET] to exit.
Volume Control
Turn on/off door lock operation volume. Volume is always on in programming mode. Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Select 1 for Turn On or 0 for Turn Off → Press [SET] to exit.
Auto-lock
Auto-lock is disabled by default. Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Select 1 for Turn On or 0 for Turn Off → Press [SET] to exit.
Auto-lock Delay Timer
Default Auto-lock Delay Timer: 10 seconds. Auto-lock Delay Timer range: 10 - 900 seconds. Instructions: Press [SET] → Enter Admin Code → Press [Enter] → Enter new amount (1-90, unit: 10 seconds) → Press [SET] to exit.
The lockset will exit the programming mode and resume to the stand-by status if no input is made in 30 seconds. 3 Beeps mean something was entered incorrectly. Please redo the step again.
3. Restore to Factory Settings
Steps:
- Remove one battery.
- Press and hold the [SET] button while inserting the battery back.
- Hold the [SET] button until the long beep stops.
Note: This will erase all stored information, including bolt direction. After restoring to factory setting, please program the lockset again (refer to User Guide 2-2).
3. Troubleshooting
Mechanical Issues
A. The latch does not operate correctly after installation.
Answers:
- Make sure the backset on the latch is set to the proper length (refer to Installation Guide 3-1).
- Check the strike plate to ensure it is properly aligned and clear so the bolt can move freely in the hole (refer to Installation Guide 3-2).
- Before installation, ensure the latch bolt is retracted and the key is not in the lockset when installing the deadbolt (refer to Installation Guide 4-2).
- Restore to factory setting and reprogram the lockset (refer to User Guide 2-2).
- Go to APP Setting >> Reset Bolt Direction.
B. The lockset locks when I enter my code and unlocks when I press the [Clear] button.
Answers:
- Restore to factory setting and reprogram the lockset (refer to User Guide 2-2).
- Start programming after the lockset is installed on the door; do not program while holding the lock in hand.
C. Keypad not responding or not able to lock/unlock the lockset.
Answers:
- Ensure the cable is well-connected to the port (metal connector side should face outward) and was not damaged during installation (refer to Installation Guide 4-2).
- Replace with four fresh alkaline batteries, and ensure batteries are installed properly (refer to Installation Guide 4-2).
D. Feel a bump while turning the thumbturn or the key.
Answers:
- While fastening the mounting plate to the door, tighten the screws evenly (refer to Installation Guide 4-2).
- Execute lock & unlock function by keypad (not mechanical key) to allow the motor to reposition itself.
- Replace with four fresh alkaline batteries.
E. I cannot remove my key unless it is in the locked position.
Answer: Uninstall the interior and exterior assemblies (refer to Installation Guide 4-2). Before re-installation, follow these guidelines:
- Make sure the bolt is in the retracted position.
- Do not have any key in the lock cylinder.
- Make sure the torque blade is inserted horizontally.
Electronic Issues
A. Auto-Lock does not function.
Answers:
- Enable the Auto-Lock function in the app.
- Replace with four fresh alkaline batteries.
B. What should I do if a wrong code was entered?
Press the [Clear] button once and continue to input the code according to regular procedures.
C. Forgot Admin Code.
Restore to factory setting and reprogram all codes (refer to User Guide 2-3).
D. Yellow light keeps flashing.
Replace with four fresh alkaline batteries.
E. How does Auto-Unlock Work?
The App has two states that determine how Auto-Unlock functions: "Return" and "Leave". When you are at home, your App enters "Return" mode and Auto-Unlock will not activate. When you leave your residence for more than 200 meters, Auto-Unlock enters "Leave" mode, remaining active until you return within 200 meters of home. While re-entering the 200-meter range, your phone will start looking for your lock. Once you are close enough to your door, the App will connect with the Lock, and Auto-Unlock will activate. The App returns to "Return" mode after Auto-unlocking. To use the Auto-Unlock function, always enable Location (GPS), Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, and keep the App running in the background on your Smartphone (default is Disabled). Auto-Unlock feature is highly dependent upon the Smartphone's Location (GPS) feature.
F. Why is Auto-Unlock not working?
Answers:
- Verify that phone settings for Bluetooth and GPS are enabled.
- Ensure Auto Unlock is enabled and notifications are turned on.
- Location permission is set to "Always" (iOS) and "All the time" (Android).
- Do not force quit the App.
- Keep the App running in the background.
- For Android: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Battery optimization. Switch the view to "All apps", find the Taymor app, tap it, and set it to "Don't optimize".
- For iOS: Go to iPhone Settings, scroll down to the App. Toggle Bluetooth and Camera off. Change "Allow Location Access" to "Never", then change it back to "Always". Toggle Bluetooth and Camera on.
G. How can I pair my phone with the lock?
Steps:
- Download the Taymor App.
- Scan the QR code in the battery compartment area.
- Press the [SET] button on the lock to activate pairing mode.
H. What should I do if my phone can't pair with the lock?
Answers:
- Ensure Bluetooth is on. If it is, turn Bluetooth off and then back on again.
- When scanning the QR code, press the [SET] button to activate pairing mode. If it's not working, restore to factory setting (refer to Section 2-3) or go to App Setting >> Factory Reset >> Enter Admin Code to reset. If the lock is factory reset, all App users and entry codes become invalid.
I. What is Auto-Lock?
Turn on Auto-Lock in the app. The door will lock automatically after the delay time you set, regardless of the unlocking method used (including auto-unlock).
J. Why can't I see settings on the APP?
There are three app roles: Owner, Manager, and User. Only Owner and Manager have full access to the App. If you are a User, you can only lock, unlock, and delete the lock.
K. Can I Invite friends to access my lock?
Yes. There are three app roles: Owner, Manager, and User. Each role has fixed permissions. Only Owner and Manager can share access. Go to App Users >> Tap + in the upper-right corner >> User Name >> User Role - Manager or User >> Add >> Share QR Code by scanning or via SMS, Email, etc.
L. What can I do if I accidentally delete the lock on the APP?
This action only removes the lock from your App, and you will no longer have access. You can recover lock access from the Owner or Manager.
M. Why does my Entry Code fail to unlock the door?
Answers:
- Check if the low battery indicator is flashing and replace all four (4) batteries with new AA Alkaline batteries.
- Ensure the code is correct and verify the correct Entry Code type is used:
- Type 1. Permanent Entry Code: For permanent use.
- Type 2. Scheduled Entry Code: For a specific time period.
- Type 3. Valid Time Range Entry Code: Only valid for a limited time period.
- Type 4. Single Entry Code: For one-time use; deleted after unlocking.
N. What can I do if I need to transfer the lock data to different devices or new phones?
Go to Users >> Tap Name >> Find backup QR code. Please note that Backup QR codes can be duplicated; store them securely if you download or take screenshots.
O. Can I control the lock remotely?
No, you can only control the lock when you are within Bluetooth range.
If the lock appears to be damaged or does not operate properly, please contact customer service for further assistance.
4. Access Code List
After changing your Admin Code, do not pass your Admin Code to anyone else.
