Step 4: Choose a Location for Your Doorbell
We recommend that you install your doorbell at a height of 1.20m (4 ft) from the ground. Make sure there is no in-wall plumbing or wiring behind the location of your doorbell.
[Diagram: Shows a door with a height indicator of 1.20m. An 'X' marks a potential location. Arrows indicate checking for internal plumbing/wiring.]
Step 5: Drill a Hole Through the Wall
Use a Ø10mm drill bit to run the adaptor cables from the inside to the outside of your home.
[Diagram: Shows a drill with a Ø10mm drill bit drilling through a wall. An arrow indicates the drilling direction.]
Step 6: Plug Your Plug-in Adaptor
Plug your adaptor into your outlet and run the cables along the plinths then through the wall, to the outside.
[Diagram: Shows the plug-in adaptor connected to a power outlet, with cables routed along the baseboard and through a wall.]
Step 7: Electrical Safety Warning
Caution: Electrical Danger. Make sure power is still disconnected before continuing the installation.
