Mitel MiVoice 5304 IP Phone Quick Reference Guide

Phone Overview

The Mitel MiVoice 5304 IP Phone features the following components:

  • 1. Display Screen
  • 2. Ringer/Message Indicator Light
  • 3. Speaker
  • 4. Programmable Buttons
  • 5. Programmable Button and LED for Line 2
  • 6. Button and LED for Line 1
  • 7. Volume, Speaker, and Contrast Controls
  • 8. Keypad
  • 9. Handset

Making a Call

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Dial the number, or
  3. Press a programmable button for speed dial, or
  4. Press the programmable button for redial.

Answering a Call

  1. Lift the handset, or
  2. If the handset is already lifted, press the blinking line button (5 or 6).

Ending a Call

  1. Hang up the handset.

Placing a Call on Hold

  1. Press the programmable button for "hold".
  2. The indicator next to the active line number will blink.

Retrieving a Call from Hold

  1. Press the blinking line button (5 or 6).

Retrieving a Message

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Dial the voicemail number, or
  3. Press the programmable button for "message waiting".
  4. Follow the instructions to retrieve the message.

Transferring a Call

  1. Press the programmable button for "transfer/conference" and then dial the destination number for the transfer.
  2. Hang up when you hear it ringing, or
  3. Wait for an answer, inform about the call, and then hang up.

Conference Call

  1. The first call is established.
  2. Press the programmable button for "transfer/conference".
  3. Dial the number of the third party when you hear the dial tone.
  4. Wait for an answer.
  5. Press the programmable button for "transfer/conference".

Adjusting Handset or Speaker Volume

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Repeatedly press the volume up ⬆️ or volume down ⬇️ controls.
  3. Speaker volume changes if a search is playing.

Adjusting Ringer Volume

  1. Repeatedly press the volume up ⬆️ or volume down ⬇️ controls when the phone rings.
