Logitech Wireless Mouse M185
Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your Logitech Wireless Mouse M185:
-
Step 1: Connect the Receiver
Plug the USB Nano-receiver into a USB port on your computer. The receiver is small and can be stored in the mouse when not in use.
-
Step 2: Insert Battery
Open the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse. Insert one AA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends are correctly oriented. Close the compartment.
-
Step 3: Use the Mouse
The mouse should now be functional. If it does not work, refer to the troubleshooting section.
Features
- Left and right mouse buttons
- Scroll wheel (press down for middle button function, which can vary by software application)
- On/Off slider switch
- Battery door release
- USB Nano-receiver storage compartment
Troubleshooting: Mouse Not Working
If your mouse is not functioning correctly, try the following steps:
- Is the mouse powered on? Check the On/Off slider switch.
- Is the Nano receiver securely plugged into a USB port? Try changing USB ports.
- If the Nano receiver is plugged into a USB hub, try plugging it directly into a USB port on your computer.
- Check the orientation of the battery inside the mouse.
- Try a different surface. Remove metallic objects between the mouse and the Nano receiver, as they can interfere with the signal.
- Try moving the Nano receiver to a USB port closer to the mouse. If you are using a tower PC, consider using a USB extender available from www.logitech.com/usbextender.
- For Windows operating systems, reconnect the mouse with the Nano receiver by launching the Connect utility from www.logitech.com/connect_utility.
