Package Contents and Tools Required
Before beginning, ensure you have all necessary components and tools. The package typically includes the UniFi U7 Pro XGS device, mounting bracket, screws, and anchors. Required tools include a drill with a 5 mm (03/16") drill bit, a Phillips screwdriver, and a measuring tape.
Diagram Description: An exploded view shows the components: a circular mounting bracket (a), a ceiling or wall mount plate (d), screws (e), and anchors (f). Tools depicted are a drill, a Phillips screwdriver, and a measuring tape.
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Location
Determine the desired mounting location for the UniFi U7 Pro XGS. If mounting to a ceiling, use the provided template to mark the drill holes. Ensure the location allows for proper Wi-Fi signal distribution.
Diagram Description: A circular template (b) is shown, indicating a 1x requirement. This template is placed on a surface, and drill points are marked.
Step 2: Drill Mounting Holes
Using a drill with a 5 mm (03/16") drill bit, drill holes at the marked locations on the ceiling or wall. If mounting into a solid surface, insert the provided anchors into the holes.
Diagram Description: A drill is shown creating holes in a surface. The holes are sized at 5 mm (03/16").
Step 3: Secure Mounting Bracket
Attach the mounting bracket (d) to the surface using the provided screws (e). Ensure the bracket is securely fastened.
