Wall Mounting and Setup

This guide provides instructions for installing the UniFi U7 Pro XGS Access Point.

1. Step 1: Unpack Components

   Identify all included parts: UniFi U7 Pro XGS Access Point, wall mounting bracket, M3 screws (x4), and potentially a mounting template. Note dimensions such as Ø5mm (3/16") and Ø18mm (11/16").

2. Step 2: Mount Bracket to Wall

   Securely attach the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate screws. Ensure it is level and firmly fixed.

3. Step 3: Connect Ethernet Cable to AP

   Connect an Ethernet cable, rated for PoE++ (Power over Ethernet Plus Plus), to the port on the UniFi U7 Pro XGS Access Point.

4. Step 4: Connect Ethernet Cable to Power Source

   Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a PoE++ injector or a PoE++ capable network switch port.

5. Step 5: Attach AP to Bracket

   Align the UniFi U7 Pro XGS Access Point with the wall-mounted bracket and slide it into place.

6. Step 6: Secure AP

   Ensure the Access Point is firmly seated and secured on the mounting bracket.

7. Step 7: Final Assembly/Check

   A final check or attachment of a cover might be depicted here, ensuring all connections are secure.

8. Step 8: Network Connectivity Diagram

   The network setup shows a typical UniFi deployment: Internet connection feeds into a UniFi Cloud Gateway, which connects to a switching infrastructure. The UniFi Access Point, supporting PoE++ and 10G speeds, connects to this switching network.

9. Step 9: Mobile App Setup

   Download the UniFi mobile application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to manage your UniFi devices.
