Installation
Mounting the Smart Box Timer
The timer box features five 1/2" to 3/4" combination knockouts. For 1/2" knockouts, the inner ring of the rubber plug should be cut. For 3/4" knockouts, the entire rubber plug should be removed. The box is mounted using three holes to mark the position on the surface before securing with screws.
Note: Ensure strong Wi-Fi signal. Wi-Fi range can be affected by obstructions. Mount the unit as close to the router as possible, in a vertical orientation. Always close the rainproof door after use.
Connecting the Wires
Lift the plastic insulator to expose the terminal strip. Wire according to the provided diagrams, ensuring the grounded wire is connected to the grounding terminal.
The terminal designations are L (Live), N (Neutral), NO (Normally Open), COM (Common Terminal), J (Jumper Wire), and T (Timer).
Smart Life APP Setup
Due to app updates, interfaces may vary; follow in-app instructions.
- Download the Smart Life APP: Search "Smart Life" on Google Play or the App Store.
- Open and Register/Log In: Create a new account or log in.
- Add Device: Tap the top right corner "+" and select "Socket Wi-Fi".
- Network Configuration: Choose your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. (If 5GHz, set router to 2.4GHz).
- Pairing: Long press the program button on the smart box until the blue light flashes rapidly, then press "next" in the app.
Timer Function
Devices can be turned ON/OFF by pressing the power button on the smart box or by using the Smart Life APP.
Within the Smart Box control interface, users can select "Program", "Countdown", "Random", or "Repeat" modes.
Program Mode
Allows setting Start/End times for a 7-day period with 1-minute intervals. Each program repeats weekly.
Countdown Mode
Sets a countdown in hours and minutes. The smart box maintains its current state (on/off) until the countdown ends. Automatically terminates if the smart box is manually turned on/off.
Random Mode
Controls the device randomly within +/-30 minutes of the set ON/OFF time, simulating presence when away from home. Setting is similar to "Program" mode.
Repeat Mode
Sets the duration for ON and OFF cycles, with a start and end time. The schedule repeats between these times. For example, a pump could turn on for 5 minutes and off for 10 minutes between 6:00 AM and 11:30 AM on specific days.
