Product Overview
This receiver connects directly to the mains supply (110VAC or 240VAC) and features a relay output rated at 8 amps at 240VAC. The relay mode can be configured as momentary, latching, security latching, or adjustable timed Off delays. It supports 8 different narrow band frequencies and can be programmed with an unlimited number of transmitters. Utilizing a narrow band FM 151MHz signal, it offers a line-of-sight operating range of up to 5000 meters. A crystal oscillator circuit ensures high frequency stability for optimal performance. Pluggable terminal blocks simplify wiring, and onboard LEDs indicate power connection and relay activation. The receiver is available with a Quick Mount or in a weatherproof IP66 rated case.
Available Options
- FMR15102240: 2-Channel 240VAC Supply
- FMR15102240E: 2-Channel 240VAC Supply in an IP66 rated case
Relay Mode Selection
The output relay's behavior is determined by the 2-Way DIP Switch settings, responding to signals from the transmitter.
DIP Switch (SW13/SW14) | Relay Mode | Description |
---|---|---|
OFF / OFF | Momentary | Output is active for as long as the transmitter button is pressed. Standard for automatic gates or garage door openers. |
OFF / ON | Latching | Output remains active until the next press of the transmitter button. Similar to switching a light on and off. |
ON / OFF | Delayed OFF (2-300 sec) | Output remains active for the duration set by the trim pot. |
ON / ON | Security Latching | Output remains active until power to the receiver is removed. Similar to security alarms and fire alarms. |
Coding and Frequency Selection
The 12-way DIP switch on the receiver sets a unique 12-bit code that must match the transmitter. The factory default code should not be used.
Additionally, a 2-way DIP switch (SW13/SW14) is used to select the output channel for two-channel receivers:
SW13 | SW14 | Relay 1 | Relay 2 |
---|---|---|---|
OFF | OFF | Ch1 | Ch2 |
OFF | ON | Ch3 | Ch4 |
ON | OFF | Ch5 | Ch6 |
ON | ON | Ch7 | Ch8 |
Frequency Selection
If noise is detected (more than 2 LEDs ON without valid transmission), select a different frequency using the 3-way DIP switch. The following table shows the settings and corresponding frequencies:
Frequency | DIP 1 | DIP 2 | DIP 3 |
---|---|---|---|
151.600 MHz | On | On | On |
152.375 MHz | Off | On | On |
151.775 MHz | On | Off | On |
151.400 MHz | Off | Off | On |
151.175MHz | On | On | Off |
151.025 MHz | Off | On | Off |
150.900 MHz | On | Off | Off |
150.825 MHz | Off | Off | Off |
Signal and Noise Indicators
Signal Strength Indicator
The receiver features six green LEDs to indicate signal strength:
LEDs | Signal Level | Signal Description | Operating Conditions |
---|---|---|---|
6 LEDs on | -70dBm | Very Strong signal | Very Reliable operating conditions |
5 LEDs on | -75dBm | Very Strong signal | Very Reliable operating conditions |
4 LEDs on | -80dBm | Very Strong signal | Very Reliable operating conditions |
3 LEDs on | -90dBm | Strong signal | Very Reliable operating conditions |
2 LEDs on | -100dBm | Good signal | Reliable operating conditions |
Noise Strength Indicator
If more than 2 LEDs are ON without a valid transmission, it indicates noise on the current frequency. Adjust the frequency selection DIP switch as needed.

Application Diagram Description
The application diagram shows a typical wiring setup for the FMR15102240 receiver. It demonstrates how to connect the receiver to a mains power source (110V/240V AC) and how the relay outputs (Relay 1 and Relay 2) can control external devices such as a light or a motor. The diagram shows the receiver connected to a 110V/240V AC mains supply. The relay outputs for Relay 1 and Relay 2 are shown with their respective Common (C), Normally Open (NO), and Normally Closed (NC) terminals. A light (maximum 10 Amps) and a motor are depicted as devices controlled by these relays. The antenna connection is also shown.
