- Teflon tape
Handle Installation (for models with threaded bases)
Diagram shows parts 1-5 for handle installation. Stems (1) are installed into valves (2) and secured with screws (3). Handle sleeves (4) are threaded onto valves, then handles (5) are attached. Instructions detail alignment for hot and cold sides, ensuring handles are horizontal. Notes advise on potential valve swapping and handle orientation adjustments.
Handle Base Installation (for models with separate bases)
Diagram shows parts 1-5 for handle base installation. Plasterguards (1) are removed and discarded. Handle base (2) and gasket (3) are placed over stem (4) and secured against the wall with nut (5). The nut is reversible for different wall thicknesses. Optional: Apply sealant to the back surface of flanges if the mounting surface is uneven.
Handle Installation (for models with separate bases) - Continued
Diagram shows parts 1-6 for handle installation with separate bases. O-rings (1) are installed onto the splined handle adapter (2). The adapter is installed onto the hot-side (left) valve stem (3) and secured with screw (4). The handle (5) is installed onto the adapter. Measure the gap between the handle and handle base (6). Remove the handle and adapter, mark the distance from the adapter end, and cut the adapter at the nearest notch if necessary. Reinstall the adapter onto the hot-side stem and secure with the screw. Ensure the hot-side valve stem is rotated counter-clockwise as far as possible, and install the handle so the lever is horizontal and points left. Repeat steps A-D for the cold-side (right) valve stem, ensuring the stem is rotated clockwise as far as possible and the handle lever points right. If handles do not install horizontally, rotate the adapter by one spline and reinstall. Notes mention that hot and cold valves may be swapped in the rough plumbing to change handle rotation direction.
Flush Your System
Turn both faucet handles to the full open position. Turn on hot and cold water supplies and flush water lines for one minute. This process removes any debris that could damage internal parts or disrupt water flow. After flushing, turn handles to the off position.
Spout Flange and Spout Installation
Diagram shows parts 1-5 for spout installation. Install gasket (1) onto brass nut (2). Install the nut onto the rough plumbing and tighten until it is against the finished wall. Install the spout tube adapter (3) and tighten until it bottoms out against the brass nut. Push the spout assembly (4) over the adapter until the spout base is flat against the wall. Secure the spout by tightening the set screw (5) on the underside of the spout base, ensuring it engages the groove in the brass nut. Optional: Apply suitable sealant to the gasket on the brass nut if the mounting surface is uneven.
Maintenance - Valves
Diagram shows various parts (1-15) for valve and spout maintenance. To address leaks from the spout or around the handle body, replace the valve cartridge (1). Steps include shutting off water, removing the handle (10) and nut (5), removing the screw (7) and spline adapter (6), unscrewing the sleeve (2) counter-clockwise, and unscrewing the cartridge (1) counter-clockwise using a 19mm hex socket wrench. Install the new cartridge and reassemble in reverse order, aligning handles with valves in the closed position.
Maintenance - Spout
To address leaks at the base of the spout, replace the o-ring (12) on the spout adapter (11). Shut off water supplies. Loosen the set screw (13) on the spout escutcheon and pull the spout straight out from the adapter. Replace the o-ring (12) on the adapter (11) and reassemble. If the leak continues, replace the adapter (11) (part number RP93535). If leaks occur around the stream straightener (14), replace the stream straightener assembly. Carefully pry the stream straightener out using the tabs on its side. Ensure the o-ring (15) is installed on the replacement stream straightener and push it into the spout opening until fully seated.
