General Instructions
The scale uses BIA (Bio-impedance Analysis) technology. A small, imperceptible current flows through the body to estimate body fat, total body water, muscle mass, and bone mass. This technology is safe and non-invasive.
Caution: Anyone with a wearable or implantable electronic device, such as a pacemaker, must still avoid using the scale.
Removing the Insulation Strip
- Open the battery door on the back of the scale.
- Remove the plastic insulation strip prior to first use.
- Close the battery compartment door. Wait until "0.0kg" is shown on the LCD.
Replacing the Batteries
- Open the battery door on the back of the scale.
- Remove the old batteries and insert two new CR2032 batteries, observing the polarity indicators. The LCD will display "8888".
- Close the battery compartment door. Wait until "0.0kg" is shown on the LCD.
WARNING
- When "Lo" appears, batteries need replacement. Replace both batteries simultaneously. Do NOT mix old and new batteries.
- Worn batteries are hazardous waste. Dispose of them according to local regulations.
- If not using the scale for an extended period, remove the batteries.

Measuring
Initialising Your Scale
If the scale has been moved, press the center of the platform with your foot, then remove it. "0.0kg" will display, and the scale is ready.
Weight Only Operation
The scale functions as a conventional weighing scale. Ensure it's initialised, then step on to measure your weight.
- Position the scale on a flat, hard surface.
- Step onto the platform and remain still while the scale computes your weight.
- Your weight will be displayed.
- The scale will turn off automatically after a few seconds.
First Measurement
- Position the scale on a firm flat surface.
- Press the ⚙️ SET key.
- While the user number flashes, select your user number using ▲ or ▼ keys. After 3 seconds, the number activates, and the scale shows "0.0kg".
Note: If the user number flashes and you press ⚙️ SET again, it enters settings mode.
Step 1: Step onto the platform with bare feet while the LCD displays "0.0kg".
Step 2: Stand still. Weight data locks when it stops flashing. Maintain full contact until the moving "o" character stops.
Step 3: Your weight will be displayed, followed by Body Fat, Total Body Water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Data is displayed three times before the scale turns off.
If analysis fails, only weight data is shown. Refer to troubleshooting for solutions.
Daily Measurement
- Step onto the platform and stand still, maintaining contact with electrodes until the moving "o" character stops.
- After analysis, the scale identifies the most likely User ID based on historical records. Results are displayed three times before turning off.
- If multiple users have similar records, you will be prompted to choose the correct User ID (e.g., P1 or P2) using ▲ or ▼. Results are saved and displayed before turning off.
If the scale cannot identify a User ID, only weight data is displayed.

Health Tips
The human body is made up of a percentage of fat. Body fat is vital for a healthy, functioning body, protecting vital organs, regulating temperature, storing vitamins, and healing. Too much or too little body fat can damage health. It's difficult to gauge body fat by appearance alone.
Monitoring body fat percentage provides a better measure of fitness than weight alone. Weight loss might be muscle mass rather than fat, leading to a high fat percentage even within a 'normal weight' zone.

Water Percentage
Body water is over half of total body weight and two-thirds of lean body mass. Water is crucial for cell function, regulating body temperature, and perspiration. Hydration levels can be insufficient even if weight and fat appear normal.

Muscle Mass & Bone Mass
Muscle Mass
Lean muscle mass can decrease with age. Maintaining muscle mass is important for strength, bone density, joint flexibility, and weight management. The body burns approximately 110 additional calories for each kilo of muscle gained.
Healthy Muscle Mass Table
Men | Approximately 40% of total body weight |
Women | Approximately 30% of total body weight |
Bone Mass
Regular exercise and a balanced diet help maintain healthy bones. Bone mass peaks in the thirties and can decline thereafter. Exercise can help prevent bone loss. Calcium and Vitamin D are essential for bone health.
Bone mass readings are estimations. Consult a doctor if you have concerns about osteoporosis or low bone density.
The average healthy bone mass for both men and women is between 4% and 5%.
Maintenance
Follow these do's and don'ts for maintenance:
