BlendJet 2 Portable Blender Recall
Dear Costco Member,
Costco records indicate that you, or one of your add-on members, purchased item #1614174 BlendJet 2 - Two Pack, between September 2022 and December 2023.
BlendJet Inc., in collaboration with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling select serial numbers of its BlendJet 2 portable blenders. BlendJet has determined that the bases in certain older blenders can overheat or catch fire, and/or the blades can break, posing potential fire and laceration hazards to consumers.
Important Recall Steps
We strongly encourage you to participate in this recall by taking the following steps:
- Immediately stop using your BlendJet 2 blenders.
- Determine if your serial numbers are affected, as outlined below.
- If your serial number(s) are determined to be affected, follow the steps online or by phone for a free replacement base.
How to Check if Your Unit is Affected
You can easily check if you have a recalled BlendJet 2 online or by phone.
Online Check
Use the "Is my BlendJet 2 Recalled?" tool available at www.blendjet.com/safetyandrecall. You can also scan the provided QR code to access the tool. You will need to enter the serial numbers of your units.

Serial Number Guidance:
- Units with a serial number that begins with the digits 5543 or greater are not subject to this recall, as they already have the updated base unit.
- Units with a serial number that begins with 5542 or lower may be subject to this recall. Please check online or call to determine if your unit is affected.

You may also call BlendJet toll-free at 844-334-0562. The recall line is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Please have your unit's serial numbers ready.
Recall Resolution
If your serial number(s) are determined to be affected, BlendJet will provide free replacement base(s) with free shipping.
If your serial numbers are NOT affected, you may resume use of your BlendJet 2.
Alternatively, if you are not satisfied with your Blendjet 2, you may return them to Costco for a full refund.
