With IKEA smart lighting, you can easily customize your lighting at home and adapt it for every occasion and activity. When using the TRÅDFRI remote control, you can dim, turn off, turn on, and switch to different colors from warm to cool light — wirelessly and whenever you like. Extend your system with TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart app to be able to set timers, create scenes and much more. IKEA smart lighting is easy to install and use, and it gives you every opportunity to make your home lighting nicer and more practical.

GOOD TO KNOW
- TRÅDFRI LED bulbs can only be controlled with IKEA smart lighting products.
- IKEA smart lighting is based on ZigBee protocol.
- May not work with wired dimmers.
- IKEA smart products have a range of 32 feet when not blocked by any walls. If there is a larger distance than 32 feet between two smart products, you can place a TRÅDFRI signal repeater in between the two IKEA smart products to extend the signal.
- Always check the maximum wattage for your lamp, so that you can choose a suitable TRÅDFRI LED bulb.
- When using TRÅDFRI drivers for wireless control (10W and 30W), all the IKEA integrated smart lighting can be steered with the TRÅDFRI remote control, or by adding TRADFRI Gateway, control with your phone via the IKEA Home smart app.

White spectrum
Three different white tones from warm to cool:
- warm glow - 2200 Kelvin
- warm white - 2700 Kelvin
- cool white - 4000 Kelvin
Light source
LED light bulbs or fixtures.
Steering device
Products that you use to control your light sources, for example the STYRBAR remote control, TRÅDFRI dimmer, motion sensor, smart outlet or TRÅDFRI shortcut button.
LED driver
The TRÅDFRI LED driver is the central power unit or transformer that all integrated LED lighting fixtures, such as MITTLED countertop, drawer and interior spot lighting, are plugged into. The driver makes it possible to pair with IKEA steering devices. Must be completed with ANSLUTA power supply cord.
Group
A combination of LED light bulbs. You can coordinate a group of lights to operate in the same way together.
Scene/Mood
A group of smart products with different settings, for example dimmed differently and/or with different color temperatures, that are programmed to come on the same way with one manual command or a scheduled command by way of the IKEA Home smart app.
Pair
To add one or more light sources to a steering device, such as the STYRBAR remote control, TRADFRI dimmer, motion sensor shortcut button or smart outlet.
Gateway
The TRÅDFRI gateway is the product that allows you to customize your lighting and control TRÅDFRI products with your mobile phone or tablet via the IKEA Home smart app.

IKEA SMART LIGHTING – STEP BY STEP
It's easy to get started with IKEA smart lighting. Start by thinking about what you will be doing in the room, what kind of light you need and what functions and possibilities you want your lighting to have. The result is usually better if you mix functional lighting, for example a reading lamp, and mood lighting, such as a dimmable floor lamp.

What functions are you looking for?
Dimming
If you only want to be able to dim your lighting, choose a complete kit that includes a TRÅDFRI wireless dimmer and one TRÅDFRI LED light bulb with a warm white light (2700 Kelvin). Easy!
Dimming and changing from warm and cool light tones
If you want to dim your lighting and gradually change from warm to cool light, choose a complete TRÅDFRI dimmer kit that includes a remote control and one LED light bulb with a white spectrum of light.
Dimming, changing within warm and cool light or different colors
If you want to dim your lighting and gradually change color, or change from warm to cool light, choose a complete kit that includes a remote control and one LED light bulb that has both white AND color spectrums.
With a remote control you can switch between nine colors and levels of white tones:

Control your lighting with movement
If you want the light to be switched on and off automatically when there is a movement, saving money and effort, select the TRÅDFRI wireless motion sensor and one TRÅDFRI LED light bulb with a warm-white light (2700 Kelvin). You can add up to 10 light sources to one motion sensor and all lights will act the same. For integrated lighting connected to TRÅDFRI LED drivers, pair the driver(s) to the motion sensor.
Customize for every situation
If you want to be able to create different types of light settings using the IKEA Home smart app, select the TRÅDFRI gateway, a STYRBAR remote control and two LED light bulbs with a white spectrum. With TRÅDFRI gateway and the IKEA Home smart app you can control each light source or groups of light sources individually. Let's look at the possibilities -
- Create moods with different types of light settings for example to watch TV or to have a romantic dinner - and control them by remote control or the IKEA Home smart app.
- Turn off, turn on, dim and change from warm to cool light as you like.
- Set up a nice wake-up light, by turning the lighting on (and off) according to a schedule and set a timer.
- Set a timer so that the light turns on as you like even when you're away.
