Installation Guide
Product Overview
This document provides instructions for installing and using the Surplife Smart Recessed Panel Light. The light features adjustable colors and brightness, controllable via the Surplife mobile application and voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
A circular LED panel light is shown, with a color spectrum indicating adjustable color capabilities.
Installation Precautions
- Avoid installation near heat sources, such as air conditioning outlets or heating outlets.
- Avoid installation in areas with high humidity fluctuations, such as near humidifiers.
- Avoid installation in locations exposed to direct sunlight.
- Avoid installation in sealed basements, as this may weaken the signal and prevent device connection.
- Do not connect multiple fixtures to a single driver to prevent fire and electric shock hazards. Always disconnect power before maintenance.
Installation Steps
- Cut a hole in the ceiling of the corresponding size for the light fixture.
- After disconnecting power, strip the outer casing of the ceiling light's wires and your home's wires, exposing about 1-1.5 cm of the conductor.
- Align the wires of the ceiling light with your home wiring (polarity of live and neutral wires does not need to be distinguished). Twist the wires together securely using wire nuts.
- Gently pull the connected wires to ensure they are tightly secured.
- Open the junction box cover. Identify the neutral wire (typically white), live wire (typically black), and ground wire (typically green). Connect these wires to the corresponding wires of the panel light using the terminal block.
- Pass the junction box through the ceiling opening and connect it to the panel light using the quick connector.
- Push the spring clips on both sides of the fixture to secure it firmly in the ceiling.
