- This product can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in safe use and understand the risks.
- Children must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.
- The product is not a toy.
- Check for damage before each use. Use only in perfect condition.
- Do not modify the product.
- When removing the housing, ensure the ground spike is also removed to avoid tripping hazards.
- The product produces light flashes that may trigger epilepsy in sensitive individuals.
- Do not use near ears; misuse can cause hearing damage.
- The light source is not replaceable; the entire fixture must be replaced when the light source reaches its end of life.
⚠ Avoiding Material Damage!
- Ensure the solar cell is not soiled or covered by snow/ice in winter, as this reduces its efficiency.
- Cold temperatures negatively impact rechargeable battery life.
⚠ Warnings Regarding Integrated Rechargeable Battery!
- Charge only intact and undamaged batteries using the supplied USB charging cable.
- Protect the battery from mechanical damage. Fire hazard!
- Ensure adequate ventilation during charging; never cover the product.
- If electrolyte solution leaks, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and skin. Rinse affected areas with clean water and consult a doctor.
- Disconnect the product when fully charged.
- Never charge or store near heat sources or open flames to prevent explosion.
- If the battery catches fire during charging, extinguish with dry sand, not water.
- Do not leave unattended during charging; guard against overheating.
- Charge only at ambient temperatures between 5 and 35°C.
- Charging contacts must not come into contact with metallic objects.
- If the product receives a heavy blow, store it in a very safe location (e.g., a metal box) for 30 minutes.
- Never manipulate, modify, or repair the battery or product.
- Use only rechargeable batteries of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries.
- The rechargeable battery must not be thrown into fire or short-circuited. It can overheat and explode.
- The rechargeable battery must not be disassembled.
Assembly (refer to Figure B)
- Stake the product (1) with the ground spike (2-4) into the desired location. Do not place directly on the ground to prevent flood damage. Do not apply force (e.g., hammering) during installation to avoid damage.
- Align the product's integrated motion sensor (1a) towards the area to be monitored. Ensure the area is free of obstacles.
Operation (refer to Figure C)
Adjusting the Motion Sensor
Adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor using control unit (1b). If movement is detected, the product emits sound or flashing light for approximately 30 seconds. The maximum detection range of about 8m is achieved at the "MAX" position.
Adjusting the Sound Frequency
Set the desired program with control unit (1c). A single beep will sound upon selection. Sound frequencies from 0.016 kHz up to 20 kHz are generally perceptible to humans; some programs emit frequencies in this range. In such cases, position the product out of hearing distance. The product does not affect electronic devices like pacemakers or garage door openers.
Program | Description |
---|---|
0 | No function active |
1 | 13.5-20 kHz, deters pigeons, dogs, and wild animals |
2 | 15.5-25 kHz, deters dogs, cats, rodents, birds, martens, wild animals, and foxes |
3 | 25-45.5 kHz, deters dogs, cats, rodents, and birds |
4 | Flashing light |
5 | Combined use of programs 1-4 |
Charging the Rechargeable Battery (refer to Figure D)
The rechargeable battery is pre-charged upon delivery. The charge status is indicated by a red LED on the charge level indicator (1d) when the device is switched on.
Charge Status LED Indicator
Red LED | Description |
---|---|
Flashes rapidly | Battery needs to be charged. |
Does not light up (no sound effect possible) | Low voltage, battery must be charged immediately. |
Flashes slowly | Battery is charging. |
Lights up | Battery is fully charged. |
Charging with Solar Panel
- Position the product so the solar panel (1e) is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging.
- The solar panel needs at least 8 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge a depleted battery.
- The charging process runs independently of the selected program.
Charging with USB Cable
In low sunlight, charging via the supplied USB cable (5) is recommended for full capacity. Charging must occur indoors as the open USB socket (1f) does not guarantee water jet protection.
- During charging, switch the sound frequency control unit (1c) to program "0" to prevent interference.
- Connect USB cable end (5a) to the product's USB port.
- Connect the other USB cable end (5b) to a USB port on a powered laptop/notebook or charging station.
- Charging time is approximately 5-10 hours, depending on current charge status.
- Remove the USB cable when the battery is fully charged.
Replacing the Batteries (refer to Figure E)
The rechargeable batteries (1g) are designed for long operation. If necessary, replace them as shown in Figure E. Switch off the product before replacing batteries. Ensure the seal is properly inserted.
Storage & Cleaning
When not in use, store the product switched off, clean, and dry at room temperature. Clean only with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Do not use harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal Information
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates compliance with Directive 2012/19/EU. This means the device must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its life. Instead, it must be handed over to designated collection sites, recycling centers, or waste disposal facilities. Protect the environment and dispose of waste properly.
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead) and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection site.
Packaging materials are marked for waste separation with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b): 1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and cardboard / 80-98: composite materials. The product and packaging materials are recyclable; dispose of them separately for better waste treatment.
