How to Use Your Hot Pot
Before First Use
- Unpack the unit and remove all packaging components.
- Wash the lid and hot pot with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive surfaces. Do not immerse the bottom of the appliance.
- CAUTION: Always wear oven mitts or protective gloves to prevent burns.
- NOTICE: Use only heat-resistant, non-metallic utensils; metal utensils may scratch the cooking surface.
- NOTE: A slight smoke may be emitted during the first use; this is normal and will disappear with subsequent use.
Using the Appliance
- Add ingredients to the hot pot and cover with the lid.
- Insert the plug into the unit and the power cord into an outlet. The indicator light will turn on, showing the unit is heating.
- Set the hot pot to the desired temperature:
- LOW: Recommended for slow cooking ingredients.
- HIGH: Recommended for boiling ingredients.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended. This product is not designed for all-day or overnight cooking.
- Refer to specific recipes or cooking instructions for required cooking times.
- To turn off, turn the temperature knob fully left, then unplug the power cord. Allow to cool before cleaning.
Usage Notes
- The hot pot has a temperature regulator that controls heat and automatically shuts off power if the temperature gets too high. Power will resume once the temperature decreases sufficiently.
- White mineral deposits may appear during boiling; this is natural and harmless. They can be removed by soaking in white vinegar and gentle rubbing after cleaning.
- If you suspect a power interruption during use, the food may be unsafe. If unsure of the duration, it is recommended to discard the food.
- Always cook with the lid on, using recommended time and temperature. Use oven mitts when handling the hot pot and lid.
- Unplug after use and before cleaning.
