Important Safety Information

• Disconnect power before servicing. Servicing should only be done by qualified technicians.
• Do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture.
• Keep the unit dry when cleaning.
• Parents and guardians should read the entire manual before allowing play.
• The AC/DC adapter and apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
• Ensure the AC/DC adapter is easily accessible and not obstructed.
• Connect to a power outlet with a protective earth connection.
• Maintain at least 10 cm (3.94 inches) clearance around the apparatus for ventilation.
• Do not impede ventilation openings with items like newspapers or curtains.
• Do not place naked flame sources (e.g., lighted candles) on the apparatus.
• Use only in moderate climates.

Epilepsy Warning

A small percentage of individuals may experience seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights. To reduce risk, take 10-15 minute breaks every hour of play.

Tip-Over Warning

Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. To prevent tip-over:

• Set up Arcade1UP on a level floor.
• Never allow children to climb or hang on the product.
• Always set up an anti-tip device. Ensure the unit is on a flat surface.

FCC Statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: it may not cause harmful interference, and it must accept any interference received. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. Installation

This game is designed for indoor and personal use only. It must not be installed outdoors.

Conditions to Avoid:

General Operation

1. Move joystick [up-arrow] and [down-arrow] to scroll through the game list.
2. Press the Player 1 button to choose a game.
3. Follow the specific game controls listed below.
4. Hold the Player 1 button for 5 seconds to return to the menu.

Troubleshooting

If your Arcade1Up Counter-Cade is not functioning correctly, consult the following table for possible solutions:

Common Issues and Solutions:

• Game will not turn on: Ensure the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet and the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
• Game turns ON, but no sound: Check that the Volume Switch is not in the OFF position. Ensure plugs are correctly connected.
• Sound, but no picture: Ensure plugs are correctly connected. Try resetting the game by turning the ON/OFF switch OFF, unplugging the unit for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in and turning it ON.
• Game screen is frozen: Reset the game by turning the ON/OFF switch OFF, unplugging the unit for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in and turning it ON.
• Game screen looks pixelated or has lines: Ensure plugs are correctly connected. Reset the game as described above.
• A button on the control deck is stuck: Gently use a thin object (like a business card) to clean debris between the button and its housing.
• Cannot scroll through games: Ensure you are using the correct joystick movements and buttons as described in the game controls section.
• Cannot select a game to play: Ensure you are pressing the correct button to enter the game selection.
• Cannot start a game after entering: Ensure you are pressing the correct button to start the game.
• Cannot exit a game to return to the menu: Ensure you are pressing the correct exit button and holding it down for approximately 5 seconds.
• Control functions do not match gameplay: Refer to the specific game control section in this manual or on-screen prompts. Note that control deck labels may refer to the primary game only; other games may use the same buttons differently.
• Game will not let you select 2 or 3 players: Some games are designed for 1 or 2 players only. Refer to the game's loading screen or manual for player count limitations.
