Keys

You can return to auto mode at any moment using menu. If no action is taken for 1 minute, the switch returns to auto mode.

Programming Features

Programming (prog new)

Programming can be done per day or per group of days. Instructions are common to several days.

Days: 1 = Monday, 2 = Tuesday, ..., 7 = Sunday.

  1. Select the prog new mode using menu, then ok. The number of free program steps appears briefly.
  2. Select the day(s) using + or -. Validate with ok.
  3. ok flashes. Validate the group of days using the ok button. Use + or - to redo the group if necessary.
  4. Using + or -, select the state of the instruction: On, Off, or ⚡ (impulse). Press ok to validate the state.
  5. Enter the switch-on time using + or -. Validate with ok.
  6. Enter minutes using + or -. Validate with ok.
  7. For an impulse (⚡), set the duration (seconds, then minutes) in the same way as the switch-on schedule.

Program other instructions for the group of days by repeating steps 3 to 7. The day or group of days can be modified during step 3 by pressing +, -, or . At the end of programming, return to auto mode using menu. You can also add an instruction to the established program in this mode.

Display (Visualisation)

To check the daily profile set up without risk of modification or deletion:

Modification or Clearing a Program Step (prog modif)

Select the prog modif mode with menu and ok. Select the modif mode with + or -. Validate with ok.

The number of remaining program steps appears briefly. The first step of the first day or group of days appears. Repeatedly pressing ok scrolls through all programmed steps.

Any flashing field (state, hour, minutes) can be modified using + or -, then validated with ok.

When the cursor is on ok behind the group of days, you can scroll through days or groups of days to directly access the one to be modified using + or -.

To remove a program step: select the state (On, Off, or ⚡), press + and - simultaneously. Clear appears on the screen. Validate with ok.

Advanced Functions

Holidays (Vacances) ?️

Allows overriding the output to On or Off for a specific period. This override is temporary and not carried over to the next year.

  1. Select the mode using menu then ok.
  2. Using + or -, choose the override state: On or Off. Validate with ok.
  3. Enter the start date (day, month) using + or -, then ok.
  4. Enter the end date (day, month) similarly.

In auto mode, ?️ flashes to indicate a holiday period is programmed. It becomes fixed ? during the period. The override is effective from 0:00 of the 1st date until 23:59 of the 2nd date.

If the start date is before the current programming date, the holiday period is valid for the following year.

To clear a holiday period, return to the mode, press + and - simultaneously. Clear appears. Confirm with ok.

Override - Temporary / Permanent / Random Operation

In auto mode, pressing - repeatedly cycles through states:

Programming Key ?

When the key is present, ? appears on the screen.

Two types of operation:

A. Permanent Override: Insert the key. After 10 seconds, the program from the key executes without clearing the device's program. The device's program becomes valid again upon key removal.

B. Copy (load) / Save (save): The key allows saving a program from the time switch or copying a program from the key to the time switch.

  1. Insert the key and wait 2 seconds.
  2. Using menu, select the mode: save (save program from device), load (load program from key), or check program on key.
  3. Validate the choice with ok.
  4. For save and load, reconfirm with ok.

Possible error messages:

In case of errors, only save is possible. The error message remains, but the device's program executes.

Time and Date Settings

Setting Time and Day

Select the mode with menu then ok. Modify the day, month, year, hour, and minutes using + or - and ok.

Winter/Summer Time Change ☀️/❄️

The time switch suggests winter/summer time changes. Select the desired change type using + or -, then validate with ok.

The type of change depends on the geographical zone. Available types include Euro, USA, GB, AUS, and USER.

For the USER type, you can freely program the dates for summer time (+1 hour) and winter time (-1 hour) changes. Changes always occur between 2:00 and 3:00 AM.

Remote Override (EG103E Only)

Allows temporary overrides remotely. When 230V is applied to terminal 7 via a non-lighted push-button, the time switch state reverses until the next program step.

Keyboard Locking

To prevent accidental operation, the keyboard can be locked using a key (EG004). Unlocking is performed the same way.

Warranty Information

Hager products are covered by a 24-month warranty against material or manufacturing defects from the date of manufacture. In case of a defect, the product must be returned via the installer and usual wholesaler. The warranty is void if the installation is contrary to regulations, if the return procedure is not followed, or if the defect is due to improper installation or use. Explanations of the defect must accompany the returned product.
