SUNGROW EV Charger: Web Connection and Setup Guide
Instructions for Web Connection
This guide provides instructions for establishing a web connection to your SUNGROW EV charger.
Establish a Wireless Connection
The built-in access point allows you to establish a connection between the charger and your mobile devices directly.
Steps:
- Ensure the charger is powered on.
- It is recommended to turn on airplane mode and suspend cellular communication on your mobile device.
- In your mobile device's WLAN settings, select the network with the name that matches the serial number of the charger (e.g.,
SG-A2261658059
). - Enter the standard password
admin123
to connect to the charger's Wi-Fi network. - Open your web browser and enter the IP address
192.168.4.1
to navigate to the Login page. - Enter the password found on the charging card (e.g.,
B8C2
) and click Login. - The Function Menu page will open, providing access to various settings.
Network Setup
Establish a communication connection to the charger via your home or router Wi-Fi.
Steps:
- From the Function Menu, select Network Setup.
- Click on Wi-Fi Name to select your router's Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter the password for your router's Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the server address you need to connect to. The factory default is the SUNGROW server address.
- Click Confirm to apply the changes.
Charger Setup
Access and configure your charger's settings through the web UI.
Steps:
- Log in to the web UI using the credentials provided.
- Select Charger Setup from the Function Menu.
- On the Function Menu page, you will find options for Plug&Charge mode and Firmware update.

Switch Charging Modes
Configure the operating mode of your charger.
Steps:
- Select Plug&Charge mode. (Note: The terminology may be updated to "Switch Modes" in future versions).
- In the pop-up dialog box, select the required mode. The factory default is EMS mode.
- Click Confirm to apply the changes.
Charging Modes Description
- Network mode: The charger operates as a standalone product and is monitored through the iEnergyCharge APP.
- Plug and Charge mode: The charging gun can be used immediately after being plugged into the EV, without any additional charging operations.
- EMS mode: The charger is compatible with SUNGROW inverters and energy storage systems to form a PV+ESS+Charging scenario. All devices are monitored through the iSolarCloud APP.
Restore Factory Settings
Reset your charger to its default factory settings.
Steps:
- Log in to the web UI.
- On the Function Menu page, select Restore Factory Setting.
Notice
- Once your mobile device is connected to the charger, ensure the task is performed within 15 minutes. Otherwise, you will need to join the charger's network again.
- The entire operation process can also be performed using a computer.
- It is recommended to use the Safari or Chrome browser on your mobile phone when performing upgrades.
- At each stage of the setup, confirm the settings. The charger will restart for 30-60 seconds. Wait for another 30-60 seconds before proceeding to the next setting, ensuring your mobile device remains connected to the charger.
