1. Package Contents
Ensure the following items are included:

2. Speaker Buttons and Functions
Refer to the graphic for button locations. Functions are as follows:
- Power On: ▶️ Press
- Power Off: ⏹️ Hold for 2 Seconds
- Play/Pause: ▶️⏸️ Press
- Volume Up/Down: ➕➖ Press + or -
- Pairing Mode / Disconnect Device: ? Press *
- Battery Status: ? Press and +
- Voice Control: ?️ Press 2 Times
- Answer/End Call: ? Press
- Stereo Plus Pairing: ?? Hold for 2 Seconds
- Next Track: ⏩ Hold +
- Previous Track: ⏪ Hold -
3. Charging the Speaker
Connect the included USB Cable to the AC Adapter to charge the internal battery. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
Charging Indicator: An orange LED light illuminates while charging. The light turns off when the unit is fully charged.
4. Pairing Your Speaker with a Bluetooth Device
First Time Pairing:
When powered on for the first time, the speaker automatically enters pairing mode (LED status light flashes rapidly) as it searches for a Bluetooth audio source. Upon successful pairing, the LED light stops flashing rapidly and shines steadily blue, accompanied by an audible tone.
Pairing Additional Bluetooth Devices:
Press the Bluetooth Button (?) to re-enter pairing mode. The LED status light will flash rapidly as the speaker searches for another Bluetooth audio source. Pairing mode times out after 3 minutes.
5. Pair the Speaker Using NFC
With Near Field Communication (NFC), you can easily pair your speaker. Hold your NFC-enabled device directly against the wireless check-in spot on the speaker.
6. Altec Connect App
Download the "ALTEC CONNECT" app (for iOS and Android) to personalize your BOOM JACKET II speaker. The app allows you to:
- Enable the Multi Connection setting
- Monitor battery level and charging status
- Control Play/Pause/Skip/Volume/Mute
- Get over-the-air software updates
- Select EQ sound settings
Available on the ? App Store and ▶️ Google Play.
7. Stereo Plus Pairing Feature
Connect two Boom Jacket II speakers together for a bigger, more powerful sound. This feature can be accessed via the Altec Connect app or manually:
- Have one Boom Jacket II speaker turned on, paired, and playing music.
- Power on the second Boom Jacket II speaker.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth buttons (?) on both speakers simultaneously for two seconds.
The two connected speakers will now play the same music from the same device.
8. AUX Connection
You can also use the included 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable to connect audio devices through the AUX In port on your speaker.

Charging a Smartphone or Other Electronic Devices
The Boom Jacket II can charge other devices via the USB Out port. Plug one end of your device's charging cable into your device and the other end into the speaker's USB Out port (requires opening the waterproof cover). Note that this will decrease the speaker's battery life.

Altec Lansing One Year Warranty
This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser only and is not transferable. It applies to products that fail to function properly under normal usage due to defects in material or workmanship. The product will be repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for one year.
What Is Not Covered by Warranty:
Damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material or workmanship, or from other than normal use, including but not limited to, repair by unauthorized parties, tampering, modification, or accident.
Obtaining Warranty Service and Troubleshooting:
Call 1-855-292-4087 or visit www.alteclansing.com. Proof of purchase (bill of sale or receipted invoice) within the warranty period is required. Package defective products securely with a dated proof of purchase, a written explanation of the problem, and a valid return address. Send to the authorized service center at your expense. Products not covered by warranty will be returned unrepaired.
