Chapter 1: LOCATION OF CONTROLS
This section details the various buttons and controls on the Mesqool CR1001 alarm clock.
Buttons:
- 1. TIME/12-24H & MEM/M+: Used for setting time, switching between 12/24 hour format, and memory functions.
- 2. HOUR & TU-: Used for setting the hour and tuning radio frequencies downwards.
- 3. MIN & TU+: Used for setting the minute and tuning radio frequencies upwards.
- 4. LCD DIMMER/DST: Adjusts display brightness and toggles Daylight Saving Time (DST).
- 5. SNOOZE/OK/SLEEP: Activates snooze, confirms settings, and controls sleep timer.
- 6. ALARM 1 & ALARM OFF: Sets and turns off Alarm 1.
- 7. ALARM 2 & ALARM OFF: Sets and turns off Alarm 2.
- 8. RADIO & RADIO OFF: Turns the radio on and off.
- 9. PROJECTION ON/FLIP/OFF: Controls the time projection feature, including turning it on/off and flipping the display.
- 10. VOLUME+: Increases the volume.
- 11. VOLUME-: Decreases the volume.
Indicators:
- 12. AM: Indicates AM time.

Chapter 2: POWERING ON
Follow these steps to power on your Mesqool CR1001 alarm clock:
- Insert the 2 included holders into the back of the unit to prevent it from tipping over.
- Install 2 x 1.5V "AAA" batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. This preserves time and alarm settings during power outages. Note: Batteries do not power the time display but will allow the alarm to function during AC power failure.
- Connect the AC adapter to the DC jack and plug it into a 100-240V AC wall power outlet.
Chapter 3: TIME SETTING
Ensure the FM radio is turned off before setting the time by pressing the RADIO OFF button if necessary.
- Press the MEM/M+ button once. The display will flash the time (e.g., 12:00).
- Press the HOUR button to set the hour and the MIN button to set the minute.
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to save the time, or wait for 5 seconds for automatic confirmation.
To change 12H/24H time format: Hold the TIME/12-24H button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
Chapter 4: ALARM SETTING
The clock features dual alarm functionality, allowing for buzzer or radio alarms.
Indicator Key: 1 = Buzzer Alarm, 1 = Radio Alarm. Both indicators off means alarms are inactive.
Set Alarm Wake by Buzzer:
- Press the ALARM 1 button once. The buzzer alarm indicator (1) will light up, and the display will flash the alarm time (e.g., 6:00).
- Press the HOUR button to set the hour and the MIN button to set the minute.
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button or wait 5 seconds to confirm the alarm time automatically.
Set Alarm Wake by FM Radio:
- Double-press the ALARM 1 button. The radio alarm indicator (1) will light up, and the display will flash the alarm time (e.g., 6:00).
- Press the HOUR button to set the hour and the MIN button to set the minute.
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button or wait 5 seconds to confirm the alarm time automatically.
Set Alarm Volume:
- Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to adjust the alarm volume. The display will show the volume level, and the speaker will play a sample sound.
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to save the alarm setting or wait for another 5 seconds for automatic confirmation.
Note: The last radio channel listened to will be the default for the radio alarm. Alarm 2 functions similarly to Alarm 1.
Turn off Alarm:
When the alarm sounds:
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to temporarily silence the alarm for 9 minutes (snooze function). The alarm will ring again every 9 minutes.
- Press the ALARM 1 button to turn off the alarm for 24 hours. The alarm indicator will remain on, signifying the alarm is set for the next day.
- To completely turn off the alarm, press and hold the ALARM 1 button until the alarm indicator (1 or 1) disappears from the display.
Turning off Alarm 2 follows the same procedure as Alarm 1.
Chapter 5: DIMMER & DST
- Display Brightness: Repeatedly press the LCD DIMMER button to cycle through 5 brightness levels for the display.
- Daylight Saving Time (DST): Press and hold the LCD DIMMER button to activate DST. Press and hold the DST button again to deactivate DST.
Chapter 6: USB CHARGING
This device can charge your phone or tablet simultaneously via the USB jack. The maximum charging current is 1 Ampere.
Chapter 7: RADIO SETTING
Turn ON or OFF Radio: Press the RADIO button to turn the radio on, and press it again to turn it off.
Manual Tuning Radio Channel:
- Repeatedly press the TU- or TU+ button to tune into the desired radio channel.
- Each press of TU- tunes the FM frequency down by 0.1MHz.
- Each press of TU+ tunes the FM frequency up by 0.1MHz.
Auto Scanning Radio Channel:
- Press and hold the TU- or TU+ button for more than 2 seconds to initiate auto scanning. The scanning will stop automatically when an available radio channel is found.
Adjust Radio Volume:
- Repeat pressing the VOL+ button to increase the volume.
- Repeat pressing the VOL- button to decrease the volume.
FM frequency range: 87.5 MHz ~ 108MHz. 87.5MHz is the default preset.
Auto Preset Channel Store:
- After turning on the radio, press and hold the TIME/12-24H & MEM/M+ button to start preset storage. The radio will store available channels into PO1 through PO20. Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to confirm the channel storage.
Manual Preset Channel Store:
- When the radio is tuned to a desired channel, press and hold the MEM/M+ button. The display will show the preset position number. Use the HOUR or MIN buttons to select the desired preset position number. Then press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to confirm your selection.
Preset Channel Recall:
- After turning on the radio, repeatedly press the MEM/M+ button to cycle through the preset stored channels. Wait for more than 3 seconds after selecting a channel for the radio to confirm your selection.
Chapter 8: SETTING TIMER SETTING
The SLEEP timer function allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off. Available durations are in 10-minute increments.
- Turn on the radio.
- Press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button once. The display will show '60' (minutes).
- Repeatedly press the OK (SNOOZE/SLEEP) button to select your desired sleep time. The display will cycle through the available times (e.g., 60, 70, 80, 90, 80... 20, 10, OFF).
- Wait for 2 seconds, and the radio will confirm your selection.
Chapter 9: PROJECTION MODE
- Press the PROJECTION ON/FLIP/OFF button to turn on the time projection.
- Press the PROJECTION ON/FLIP/OFF button again to flip the projection display.
- Press the PROJECTION ON/FLIP/OFF button once more to turn off the projection.
- Rotate the FOCUS RING (20) to adjust the clarity of the projected image.
Notes:
- The optimal projection distance is between 1.5 to 3.0 meters (approximately 4.92 to 9.84 feet).
- The projector uses a common LED light and may not be visible in brightly lit environments.
- If the projected numbers appear fuzzy, rotate the focus ring (20) to achieve the correct angle for a clear projection.
Chapter 10: PROJECTION DIMMER
Press the PROJECTION DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the time projection according to your preference.
