Install Steps
- Step 1: Place the sink protection net in place to prevent little chicks from drowning.
- Step 2: Place the egg tray on the machine with the patterned side facing up.
- Step 3: Place the machine host on top of the egg tray, ensuring the edges are covered properly. Add 100ml of water to the machine and plug it in. Allow the machine to run for about 3-4 hours to test it.
- Step 4: Once the test is completed, place the fertilized eggs into the egg tray and lay them flat.
- Step 5: Put the machine host and the bottom chassis together, turn on the power supply, and press the "+" button to test if the egg turning function is working properly.
The machine automatically turns the eggs every 90-120 minutes. Once confirmed working properly, you can start the hatching process. Keep the machine powered on throughout the entire process.
Function Introduction
- Automatic Temperature Control Function: The factory temperature is set to 37.8°C (100.04°F), suitable for most poultry eggs. The proper working range is 37.3°C to 38.5°C (99.14°F-101.3°F). An alarm sounds if the temperature falls below 37°C (98.6°F) or goes above 38.6°C (101.48°F).
- Automatic Egg Turning Function: Press the "+" button to initiate egg tray rotation. The eggs are set to turn every 90-120 minutes.
- Egg Candling: Press the "Egg Candling" button to turn on the LED light. Press again to turn it off. The light automatically turns off after 10 minutes if left on.
- Turnoff the Alarm Sound: Press the "-" button to stop an active alarm.
- Reset the Machine: Press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until "888" is displayed on the LED screen.
- Set the Temperature: Click the "Set" button, then use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the temperature. Press "Set" again to confirm.
Accessories Instructions
Machine Start Test:
- Connect the motor line with the machine cover cable.
- Add 100ml of water to the outside sink.
- Plug in the power adapter.
- The test should last about 3-4 hours, and the temperature should reach approximately 37.8°C (±0.3°C is acceptable, equivalent to 100.04°F, with a range of 99.5-100.58°F).
- Finish the test and ensure everything works well.
Note: This manual uses Celsius for instructions.
Direction For Hatching
Flow Chart of the Incubation Process:
The incubation process involves several stages: the period of incubation, which includes putting eggs in, using the egg candle to check eggs, and the last 3-5 days for hatching; the period of hatching, where egg trays are removed; and the period of brooding, which involves deworming and rearing.
Steps of Incubation:
Step 1: How to select the fertilized egg
- Fertilized eggs must be fresh, laid within 4-7 days. The ideal temperature for keeping fertilized eggs is 10-15°C (50-59°F).
- The eggshell surface should be free from deformities, cracks, or spots.
- To disinfect eggs, two methods are available:
- Easy Way: Clean the egg surface with wet wipes.
- Professional Way: Prepare a 0.5% potassium permanganate solution. Soak eggs for 1 minute, drain, and rest them (big end up) for 12 hours before incubation. Use the solution immediately as it degrades over time.
- Ensure egg surfaces are clean and spot-free. Overly careful disinfection is not necessary and may reduce hatching rates if conditions are not met.
Step 2: Temperature and Humidity
The incubation period can be maintained at the default temperature of 37.8°C. Add approximately 100ml of water daily to the chassis (ensure it's full) from the side. Humidity is auxiliary.
[Description of Egg Tray Image: The image shows the egg tray with multiple egg-shaped slots, designed for automatic turning.]
Step 3: Use the egg candle to check each egg
Check egg development around day 7 of incubation in a dark environment. Press the "egg candle" button to illuminate one egg at a time. If bloodshot is visible, the egg is well-developed. Unfertilized or weakly fertilized eggs should be marked. This process helps improve the incubation rate.
Step 4: Spray the eggs (Hatching Period)
Around the 17th day (for chicken eggs), prepare a small spray pot with warm water at 38°C (100.4°F). Spray the eggs three times daily, allowing the mist to settle naturally. Repeat spraying 3-5 times a day. Closing the incubator lid after spraying aids chicks in breaking the shell. Other eggs also require warm water spraying during this period.
Step 5: Remove the egg trays (Hatching Period)
Around the 18th/19th day (for chicken eggs), stop egg turning and remove the egg tray. Continue spraying warm water to prevent the shell from becoming too hard for the chick to break out.
Step 6: Cool Down Chicks and Brood Chicks
After chicks hatch, remove the eggshells. Chicks can remain in the incubator for 24-48 hours. Then, transfer them to a cardboard box with an insulation lamp (not included) to gradually lower the temperature to 30°C (86°F). Chicks generally need to be kept warm for 7-10 days.
Important Information:
Incubation Time:
Egg Type | Incubation Time (Days) |
---|---|
Chicken eggs | 21 |
Peacock eggs | 28 |
Quail eggs | 18 |
Goose eggs | 31 |
Duck eggs | 28 |
Different eggs have different incubation periods. Add one day if hatching in cool seasons. Incubation is divided into early and late periods, with the late period being the last 3-5 days when chicks break the shell.
Things to do:
- Remove egg trays to stop automatic turning and pay attention to spraying the eggs.
- The white foam incubator aids heat preservation; do not discard it.
Common Parameters:
- "+" button: Drives the egg tray to turn.
- "-" button: Stops the alarm sound.
- Reset Machine Settings: Press and hold "+" and "-" buttons for more than 5 seconds.
Working Environment:
- Voltage: AC110V-240V, 50-60Hz
- Power Supply: DC12V (dual-power battery option, not included)
- Power Consumption: 40W
- Relative Humidity: Less than 85%
- Ambient Temperature: 15°C ~ 35°C (59°F ~ 95°F)
Analysis of Reasons for Low Incubation Rate & Common Problems
Analysis of Reasons for Low Incubation Rate:
- Chick cannot come out of the shell: May be due to uncoordinated humidity in the last 3-5 days or a hard eggshell. Increase warm water spraying frequency.
- Egg yolk not fully absorbed, chick not formed: Incubation temperature may be too low, or the fertilized egg is too old. Use freshly fertilized eggs (laid within the last 3-7 days).
- Too much mucus, chicks did not form: Humidity may have been too high during early incubation. Ensure adequate watering; adding 100ml daily is not mandatory but recommended.
- For further questions, seek help from VEVOR via Amazon.
Common Problems:
- The machine is not turning the egg: The machine turns eggs periodically, not constantly, for uniform surface temperature. Motor speed is slow. Manually press "+" to test or use a marker to observe rotation. Check motor line and machine cover line connections, and ensure rollers are installed correctly and flat. Contact customer service if issues persist.
- Power supply: Check the power adapter connection. A laptop power adapter may be a universal substitute. Contact customer service if problems occur.
