Important Information

It is recommended that the fittings are installed by a qualified electrician ensuring the installation complies with current IEE wiring regulations & local building control. Make sure your mobile phone's operating system is at least iOS 9 for Apple, or at least 4.4 for Android.

Getting Started with the Hoftronic Smart App

Download the Hoftronic Smart App to control your LED strip.

Step 1: Download the App

Scan the QR code provided or search "Hoftronic Smart" in the Apple App Store or Google Play to install the app. [Get it on Google Play] [Download on the App Store]

Step 2: Register an Account

Create a Hoftronic Smart account by entering your mobile number or email address. The system will recognize your country/area. A confirmation code will be sent via text if using a mobile number.

Step 3: Add Smart Light to the App

On the "Home" page, tap the "+" icon, select 'Lighting', then choose your device type 'Lighting BLE+Wi-Fi'. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the lamp. The smart light needs to be set to flash rapidly.

Pairing Mode:

• Step A: Turn the light On-Off-On-Off-On.
• Step B: Confirm the smart light is now rapidly flashing (approximately 2 times per second).

Note: Ensure the time interval between On/Off cycles is not too short. Turn off the light after it is on.

Step 4: Control Your Light

Once connected, the lamp will appear in your list. You can control it from anywhere in the world, rename it, and group multiple lamps.

Safety Instructions

1. Do not place any metal objects around the controller, as this could block the WiFi signal.
2. Ensure the power supply and controller are connected correctly.
3. The power supply output voltage must match the LED strip's working voltage.
4. Do not cover the surface of the power supply, controller, or LED strip.
5. Ensure all connections are correct before powering on. ⚠️

Product Dimensions

The controller unit measures 71.2 mm in length. Diagrams show the controller with its connected cables for the LED strip and power input.

Wiring Diagram

The diagram illustrates the connection of the power adapter to the controller, and the controller to the LED strip. It also shows various optional plugs for different regions, indicating a power flow from [Power Adapter] ? to [Controller] to [LED Strip].

Installation

1. Use only the power adapter with DC12/24V output voltage.
2. Install the controller securely, using 3M tape if necessary.
3. Unfold the LED strip to prevent overheating. Connect the LED strip cables to the correct ports on the controller. Test the app to confirm the LED strip is controlled correctly before proceeding.
4. Verify that the power supply, controller, and LED strip are all correctly connected.

Product Functions Diagram

The diagram shows the controller unit with numbered connection points and a function button:

• 1. IR Receiver: For remote control input.
• 2. DC 12/24V Input Connection Port: Where the power adapter connects.
• 3. Output Connection Port: Connects to the LED strip.
• 4. Function Button:
  • Press once to Turn ON.
  • Press twice quickly to Turn OFF.
  • Press to change modes.
  • Press and hold for over 5 seconds to reset or initiate network pairing.

Remote Controller

Note: This remote control is applicable to IP65 Flow Color strips with SKUs: 5427145, 5427152, and 5427169.

Product Introduction: The 19-key IR remote control allows for various dreamcolor modes, including effects like running water and music synchronization.

Parameters:

• Power Supply: 3V button cell
• Control Distance: 5-8 meters in open area

Instructions: Remove the PVS insulation sheet from the remote control before use. Prioritize APP internet connection if the light is blinking.

Usage Guidelines / Maintenance

Any maintenance work must be performed when the power supply is cut off and the product has cooled down. Clean only with soft and dry cloths. Do not use chemical detergents. Ensure free air access. Product may heat up to a higher temperature. Product can only be supplied by rated voltage or voltage within the range provided. It's forbidden to use the product with a damaged protective cover. Product must not be used in unfavorable conditions, e.g., dust, water, moisture, vibrations, explosive air atmosphere, fumes, or chemical fumes, etc. Non-demountable product. Not suitable for independent repairs.

Environmental Protection

Keep your environment clean. Segregation of post-packaging waste is recommended. This labeling indicates the requirement to selectively collect waste electronic and electrical equipment. Products labeled in this way must not be disposed of with other waste. These products may be harmful to the environment and health and require special recycling. Return such products to a designated collection facility. Contact local authorities or sellers for information on collection centers. Used items can also be returned to the seller when a new product of the same type is purchased. ♻️
