Shelly Wave Pro 2PM: User and Safety Guide
2-circuit DIN-mountable Z-Wave® smart switch with power measurement
About Shelly Qubino
Shelly Qubino offers microprocessor-managed devices for remote control of electric circuits via smartphone, tablet, PC, or home automation systems. These devices operate on the Z-Wave® wireless communication protocol, requiring a gateway for configuration. When the gateway is internet-connected, Shelly Qubino devices can be controlled remotely. They are compatible with other Z-Wave® certified devices, and mains-operated nodes act as repeaters to enhance network reliability.
Wave Pro Series
The Wave Pro series is designed for homes, offices, retail stores, and manufacturing facilities. These devices are DIN-mountable within breaker boxes, making them ideal for new construction. All Wave Pro devices can be controlled and monitored through a Z-Wave® network.
About the Device
The Shelly Wave Pro 2PM is a DIN rail mountable 2-channel smart switch with power measurement. It controls the on/off function for two independent electrical devices, supporting a load of up to 16 A per channel (25 A total). It is compatible with both switches and push-buttons.
Installation Instructions
The Device can be DIN-mounted inside a breaker box. Refer to the wiring scheme (Fig. 1) for installation details.
CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure no voltage is present at the terminals before making any changes. Use only with power grids and appliances that comply with applicable regulations. Do not connect appliances exceeding the maximum load. Allow at least 10 mm of space around the device for currents over 5 A per channel. Connect the device only as shown in the instructions. Do not install where it can get wet. Do not use if damaged. Do not attempt self-repair. Ensure breakers are off and terminals have no voltage before installation. Do not shorten the antenna. For optimal signal, place the antenna away from metal elements. Use solid single-core or stranded cables with ferrules, with insulation heat resistance of at least T105°C (221°F). For inductive appliances, an RC snubber (0.1 μF / 100 Ω / 1/2 W / 600 V AC) should be connected in parallel.
CAUTION! Keep devices for remote control away from children. Do not allow children to play with connected switches/push-buttons.
Connect the load to terminals 01 and 02, and the Neutral wire. Connect the Live wire to terminal 'i'. Connect the Live wire to the Device L terminal and the Neutral wire to the N terminal. Connect switches or push-buttons to SW1 and SW2 terminals and the Live wire.
Operational Instructions
SW1: If configured as a switch (default), toggling the switch changes the state of output 0 (01). If configured as a push-button, each press changes the state of output 0 (01).
SW2: If configured as a switch (default), toggling the switch changes the state of output 02. If configured as a push-button, each press changes the state of output 02.
Supported Load Types
- Resistive (incandescent bulbs, heating devices)
- Inductive with RC Snubber (LED light drivers, transformers, fans, refrigerators, air-conditioners)
- Capacitive (capacitor banks, electronic equipment, motor start capacitors)
