Product Details
The system consists of a Bluetooth main module, speakers (left and right), and control buttons.
Components:

Note: Status LEDs (L) and (R) operate simultaneously.
Installation
Compatible HJC helmets for the SMART HJC 50B can be found at www.smarthjc.com.
Refer to the user manual for detailed installation instructions.
- Open the chin-bar of modular helmets or the visor of open-face and full-face helmets.
- Remove the helmet's module cover.
- Separate the helmet's cheek pads.
- Install the button module.
- Install the Bluetooth module, ensuring cables are routed correctly through designated channels.
- Install the microphone:
- Modular or Open-Face Microphone Installation: Route the microphone boom and secure it. Connect the microphone to the main module.
- Full-Face Microphone Installation: Attach the microphone to the inside of the helmet, ensuring proper placement. Connect the microphone to the main module.
- Install the speaker modules into the helmet's ear pockets.
- Organize the wires neatly within the helmet.
- Reinstall the cheek pads.
- Close the chin-bar of modular helmets or the visor of open-face and full-face helmets.
Icon Legend
- 1x Tap: Press the button once.
- 10s Long Press: Press and hold the button for 10 seconds.
- 2x Tap: Hear voice prompt like "Hello?"
Basic Operation
- Power On: Long press the '+' button for 1s.
- Power Off: Long press the '+' button for 1s.
- Volume Up: Tap the '+' button.
- Volume Down: Tap the '-' button.
Check Battery Level
Tap the '+' or '-' button to check the battery level.
Phone Pairing
- Turn on the SMART HJC headset. It will automatically enter phone pairing mode upon first power-on.
- Alternatively, navigate to 'Settings Menu' > 'Phone Pairing'.
- Tap the '+' button once.
- The headset will announce "Phone Pairing".
- Select SMART HJC 50B from the list of Bluetooth devices found on your phone.

Using Your Phone
- Answer Call: Tap the M button once.
- End Call: Long press the M button for 2 seconds.
- Reject Call: Long press the M button for 2 seconds.
- Activate Siri or Google Assistant: Tap the V button once. You can also use voice commands like "Hey Google" or "Siri".
Music Control
- Play/Pause: Tap the M button once.
- Next Track: Tap the '+' button.
- Previous Track: Tap the '-' button.
Mesh Intercom™
Open Mesh™: Communicate within the same channel.
Group Mesh™: Communicate within the same private group.

Transitioning to Mesh 2.0 for backward compatibility:
While Mesh Intercom 3.0 is the latest technology, to communicate with older products using Mesh 2.0, please transition to Mesh 2.0 via the SMART HJC BT app.
- Turn on Mesh Intercom: Tap the M button twice. The LED will blink green.
- Turn off Mesh Intercom: Tap the M button twice. The LED will blink red.
Note: When Mesh Intercom is turned on, the SMART HJC 50B automatically connects to nearby SMART HJC 50B users, defaulting to Open Mesh (Default: Channel 1).
Open Mesh Channel Settings (Default: Channel 1)
- Tap the M button twice to enter Channel Settings. The headset will announce "Channel Settings".
- Tap the '+' or '-' button to cycle through channels (1 → 2 → ... → 6 → Exit → 1 → ...).
- Tap the M button once to save the channel.
Note: You can also change channels using the SMART HJC BT app.
Group Mesh
Group Mesh is a private group intercom feature that allows users to join or rejoin group intercom conversations or leave group intercom conversations without pairing each headset.
1) Creating a Group Mesh
To create a Group Mesh, there must be at least two Open Mesh users.
- Users (You, B, C) simultaneously long-press the M/F button for 5 seconds to enter Group Mesh. You will hear the voice prompt "Group Mesh".
- Once Group Mesh is completed, Open Mesh transitions to Group Mesh, and users (You, B, C) will hear voice prompts from their headsets.
- The headset will announce "Group Mesh".
2) Joining an Existing Group Mesh
One of the users in an existing Group Mesh can allow new users (one or more) on Open Mesh to join the existing Group Mesh.
- A user in an existing Group Mesh (You) and new users on Open Mesh (D, F) simultaneously long-press the M/F button for 5 seconds to enter Group Mesh. You will hear the voice prompt "Group Mesh".
- Once Group Mesh is completed, Open Mesh transitions to Group Mesh, and the new users (D, F) will hear voice prompts from their headsets.
- The headset will announce "Group Mesh".
- Microphone On/Off (Default: On): Users can enable/disable their microphone when communicating in Mesh Intercom. The headset will announce "Microphone On" or "Microphone Off".
- Request to Join Mesh Intercom: A user (Sender) can send a request message to friends nearby whose Mesh Intercom is turned off, asking them to turn it on.
- Activate "Request to Join Mesh Intercom" in the SMART HJC BT app.
- With Mesh Intercom on, the user (Sender) sends the request via the headset button or the SMART HJC BT app. The headset will announce "Request to Join Mesh Intercom".
- Friends who receive the request must manually turn on their Mesh Intercom via the headset button or the SMART HJC BT app. They will hear "Received Request to Join Mesh Intercom".
Mesh Reset: Resetting a headset in Open Mesh or Group Mesh will automatically return it to Open Mesh (Default: Channel 1).
Bluetooth Intercom
You can pair up to three people for Bluetooth intercom conversations.
Intercom Pairing
There are two ways to pair your headsets:
Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP)
SIP allows you to quickly pair with friends for intercom communication by scanning QR codes in the SMART HJC BT app without needing to remember button operations.
- Pair your phone and headset.
- Open the SMART HJC BT app and tap the ⋮ (Smart Intercom Pairing menu).
- Scan the QR code displayed on your friend's (B) phone.
- Tap Save and confirm that your friend (B) is correctly paired with you.
- Tap Scan (⋮) and repeat steps 3-4 to pair with intercom friends (C) and (D).
Note: Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP) is not compatible with Smart HJC headsets using Bluetooth 3.0 or lower.
Manual Intercom Pairing
- Simultaneously long-press the TAP button on each headset for 5 seconds until you hear the voice prompt "Intercom Pairing".
- The two headsets (A, B) will automatically pair.
- Repeat the above steps to pair with other headsets (C, D).
Last-Come, First-Served (LCFS)
If you have paired with multiple headsets for intercom conversations, the last headset you paired with will be set as the first intercom friend.
Two-Way Intercom
- Start/End conversation with first intercom friend (D): Tap the M button once.
- Start/End conversation with second intercom friend (C): Tap the M button twice.
- Start/End conversation with third intercom friend (B): Tap the M button three times.
FM Radio
- Turn FM Radio On/Off: Long press the M button for 1 second.
- Scan Start/Stop: Tap the M button twice.
- Next Preset: Tap the '+' button.
- Previous Preset: Tap the '-' button.
- Next Scan: Tap the '+' button.
- Previous Scan: Tap the '-' button.
Note: You can also save the current station in the SMART HJC BT app.
Settings Menu
Accessing the Settings Menu
Long press the M button for 2 seconds.
Navigating Through Menu Options
- Tap the '+' or '-' button to move to the next or previous menu option.
Executing Menu Options
Tap the M button once to execute the selected menu option.
Troubleshooting
Reset
Note:
- Performing a reset will not restore the headset to factory default settings.
- The charging LED is not the reset button. Do not press it.
