Product Details
The system comprises a Bluetooth module, speakers (left and right), and control units with buttons. Key components include:

Note: LED status indicators (left and right) operate simultaneously.
Installation
Refer to www.smarthjc.com for a list of HJC helmets compatible with the SMART HJC 50B. For detailed installation instructions, consult the user guide.
- Open the chin strap of a modular helmet or the visor of a open-face and full-face helmet.
- Remove the helmet module cover.
- Remove the helmet's cheek pads.
- Install the button module.
- Install the Bluetooth module, connecting the wires carefully.
- Install the microphone:
- 6.1 For Modular or Open-Face Helmets: Route the microphone cable through the designated channels.
- 6.2 For Full-Face Helmets: Attach the microphone to the inside of the helmet, ensuring proper placement.
- Install the speaker modules into the helmet's ear pockets.
- Route the cables neatly along the helmet's interior.
- Secure the cheek pads.
- Close the chin strap of the modular helmet or the visor of the open-face and full-face helmet.
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the (+) button for 1 second.
- Volume Up: Lightly press the (+) button.
- Volume Down: Lightly press the (-) button.
- Check Battery Level: The LED indicator shows battery status (Green: High, Red: Low).
Phone Pairing
The headset automatically enters phone pairing mode upon first power-on. To manually enter pairing mode, press and hold the M button for 10 seconds until you hear the voice prompt "Configuration menu". Then, lightly press the (+) button once. The LED will flash blue and red, and you will hear "Phone pairing". Select "SMART HJC 50B" from your phone's detected Bluetooth devices.

Using the Phone
- Answer Call: Lightly press the M/F button once.
- End Call: Press and hold the M/F button for 2 seconds.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the M/F button for 2 seconds.
- Siri and Google Assistant: Activate your phone's Siri or Google Assistant by saying "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri", or by pressing and holding the M/F button for 1 second.
Music Control
- Play/Pause: Lightly press the M/F button once.
- Next Track: Lightly press the (+) button.
- Previous Track: Lightly press the (-) button.
Mesh Intercom™
Open Mesh™: Communicate within the same channel. Group Mesh™: Communicate within the same private group.

Switching to Mesh 2.0 ensures backward compatibility with legacy products. To switch to Mesh 2.0, use the SMART HJC BT application.
- Mesh Intercom On: Lightly press the M/F button twice. The LED will flash green.
- Mesh Intercom Off: Lightly press the M/F button twice. The LED will flash red.
Note: When Mesh Intercom is on, the SMART HJC 50B automatically connects to nearby SMART HJC 50B users. The headset defaults to Open Mesh (Channel 1) on first use.
Open Mesh Channel Settings
1. Enter Channel Settings: Lightly press the M button twice.
2. Change Channel: Cycle through channels 1 to 6 by lightly pressing the M button. Press the M button once to exit.
3. Save Channel: Press and hold the M button for 2 seconds to save the selected channel.
Note: Channels can also be changed using the SMART HJC BT application.
Group Mesh
Group Mesh is a closed group intercom feature allowing users to join, leave, or rejoin a group intercom conversation without pairing each headset individually.
- 1) Creating a Group Mesh: Requires two or more Open Mesh users. All users simultaneously press and hold the M/F button for 5 seconds until they hear "Mesh Grouping". After grouping, users will hear "Group Mesh" indicating the switch.
- 2) Joining an Existing Group Mesh: One existing user in a Group Mesh can allow new users to join. The new user(s) and an existing user enter Mesh Grouping by pressing and holding the M/F button for 5 seconds. New users will hear "Group Mesh" upon successful joining.
Enable/Disable Microphone
Users can enable or disable the microphone during Mesh Intercom communication.
Mesh Connection Request
You can send a request to nearby friends who have Mesh Intercom turned off to enable the feature. Enable Mesh Connection in the SMART HJC BT app. The caller can send a request via headset buttons or the app. The recipient must manually enable Mesh Intercom.
Resetting Mesh
Resetting the headset in Open Mesh or Group Mesh automatically returns it to Open Mesh (default: Channel 1).
Bluetooth Intercom
The headset can pair with up to three other users for Bluetooth intercom calls.
- Intercom Pairing:
- Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP): Pair quickly by scanning QR codes via the SMART HJC BT app. Requires phone pairing with the headset first.
- Using Buttons: Each user simultaneously presses and holds the TAP button for 5 seconds until "Intercom pairing" is heard. The headsets will pair automatically. Repeat for additional pairings.
First-Come, First-Served: If multiple paired headsets are used for intercom, the last paired headset becomes the first intercom friend.
Two-Way Intercom
Initiate/end calls with intercom friends by pressing the M/F button for the specified duration.
FM Radio
- FM Radio On/Off: Press and hold the (+) button for 1 second.
- Scan Forward: Lightly press the (+) button.
- Switch Preset Station: Lightly press the M button.
- Seek/Stop Seek FM Band: Press and hold the M button for 1 second.
Note: Current stations can be saved via the SMART HJC BT app.
Configuration Menu
- Accessing the Configuration Menu: Press and hold the M button for 10 seconds.
- Switching Menu Options: Lightly press the M button.
- Executing Menu Options: Lightly press the M/F button.
Troubleshooting
- Factory Reset: Press and hold the M button for 10 seconds, then lightly press the (-) button twice. You will hear "Factory reset".
- Note: A fault reset does not restore the headset to factory default settings. The charging LED indicator is not the pin-hole fault reset button.
