1 Your mobile
1.1 Keys and connectors
Diagram Description: The phone has several external features:
- SOS key: Typically used for emergency calls.
- Headset connector: For plugging in headphones or a headset.
- Volume key: Adjusts the device volume.
- Type C port: For charging and data transfer.
- Speaker: Outputs audio.
- Camera: For taking photos and videos.
- Torch: Acts as a flashlight.
Keypad Layout and Functions:
- 1 OK key: Confirms an option or accesses the app list from the Home screen.
- 2 Left soft key: Confirms an option or accesses the app list from the Home screen.
- 3 Call key: Picks up or sends a call; accesses call log from Home screen.
- 4 Right soft key (Back key): Accesses Contacts from Home screen; used for deleting digits.
- 5 End key: Hangs up, cancels dialing, or returns to Home screen; long press powers off or restarts the phone.
- 6 Navigation key: Moves through menus (up, down, left, right). From idle screen, Up accesses Calendar, Down accesses Camera, Right accesses Entertainment, Left accesses Tools.
- 7 "5" key: In idle screen, inputs "5"; long press toggles the torch.
- 8 "*" key: In idle screen, inputs "*"; long press locks the screen. In Edit mode, inserts symbols.
- 9 "#" key: In idle screen, inputs "#"; long press toggles vibration mode. In edit mode, changes input method.
1.2 Getting started
1.2.1 Set up
Removing the back cover and installing the battery:
- Illustration shows a sequence of steps: 1. Phone from the back. 2. Opening the back cover. 3. Inserting the battery. 4. Closing the back cover.
Inserting or removing the SIM/micro SD card:
- Place the SIM card with the chip facing downwards and slide it into its housing. Ensure it is correctly inserted.
- To remove, press and slide the card out.
- Power off the phone before inserting or removing cards.
- Diagram shows SIM1, SIM2 slots and an SD card slot.
Charging the battery
- Connect the battery charger to the phone and plug into a socket.
- Do not force the plug.
- Ensure the battery is correctly inserted before charging.
- Use an easily accessible mains socket.
Power saving tips: To reduce power consumption, disconnect the charger when fully charged, switch off Bluetooth and background apps when not in use, and reduce backlight time.
1.2.2 Powering on your phone
- Hold down the End key until the phone powers on.
- Press the Left soft key and then the Right soft key (OK) to unlock the phone.
- The phone can be used even without a SIM card installed.
1.2.3 Powering off your phone
- Hold down the End key, select Power off, and press it.
1.3 Home screen
The Home screen displays the time, date, and network status.
Status bar: Shows status and notification indicators.
1.4 App list
Access the App list by pressing the Left soft key or OK key from the Home screen.
Display Modes:
- 3*3 mode: Traditional grid layout with smaller icons and text descriptions.
- Super icon mode: Large, eye-catching icons.
Switch modes via Settings > Layout

1.4.1 Status bar icons
- New message or multimedia message: An envelope icon.
- No SIM card installed: A SIM card icon with a cross or slash.
- Silent mode: A bell or speaker icon with a slash.
- Alarm is set: An alarm clock icon.
- Level of network reception: Signal bars.
- Bluetooth is on: A Bluetooth symbol.
- Headset connected: A headset icon.
- Power indicator: Battery level icon.
1.4.2 Change Home screen wallpaper
- From the Home screen, press OK, select Settings (gear icon ⚙️), navigate to Display > Wallpaper settings.
- Select an image from Static wallpaper or More pictures and press OK.
2 Call logs
2.1 Making a call
- Dial the number and press the Call key.
- Alternatively, press the Right soft key to select a contact from Contacts. Use the Navigation key to choose and press the Call key.
- To correct a mistake while dialing, press the Right soft key.
- To hang up, press the End key.
International call
- Press
*
twice to enter "+". - Enter the international country prefix, then the full phone number.
- Press the Call key.
Emergency call
Dial the emergency number and press the Call key. This may work without a SIM card or PIN.
2.2 Answer or decline a call
- To answer: Press the Left soft key or Call key.
- To decline: Press the Right soft key or End key.
2.3 Accessing voicemail
- Press and hold the

key to call voicemail. - Follow prompts to set up your account.
3 Message
Use messaging for SMS/MMS.
3.1 Write message
- From Home screen, press OK, select Messages > Options > New chat.
- Enter recipient number in the 'To' bar or press OK to add from contacts.
- Use the navigation down key to enter text.
- Press OK or Left soft key to select Options > Send.
3.2 Send a multimedia message
MMS allows sending video clips, images, photos, contacts, and sounds. Select Options > Add to attach media files. SMS converts to MMS automatically with attachments.
3.3 How to type a message
- Predictive text: Press number keys (2-9) repeatedly for characters. Press key repeatedly for next character on the same key.

Settings
- From Message screen, press Options > Settings.
- SIM1/SIM2 Message centre: View message centre number.
- Message validity period: Set validity (1 hour to Maximum).
- Status report: Enable or disable status reports.
- Reply path: Enable reply path.
- Coding management: Set character code (GSM-7, UCS2, Auto).
- Save sent messages: Choose to save or not.
- Preferred storage: Set storage path for messages.
- Export SMS: Set SMS export path.
- Auto signature: Apply an auto signature.
- Signature: Input your signature.
4 Contacts
4.1 Consult your Contacts
Access contacts by pressing OK from Home screen and selecting Contacts, or by pressing the Right soft key from Home screen.
- Press the Left soft key for more options.
- Press the OK key to enter contact details.
- Press the Right soft key to return to the App list or Home screen.
4.2 Adding a contact
On the contacts list screen, select Options > New to add contacts with details. Press the Left soft key to save.
4.3 Editing your contacts
Select a contact, press OK for Details, then Options > Edit, and press OK to edit.
4.4 Deleting a contact
On the contacts list screen, press the Left soft key for Options, select Delete, and press OK.
4.5 Available options
- Call: Make a call to the selected contact.
- Write message: Send an SMS to a contact.
- New: Create a new contact.
- Delete: Delete the selected contact.
- Delete multiple: Delete multiple contacts.
Import/Export
- Copy: Copy contacts to Phone or SIM card.
- Import contacts: Import contacts to your phone.
- Export contacts: Export contacts from your phone or SIM card.
Send vCard: Send contact via SMS/MMS/Bluetooth.
Others
- Speed dial: Set speed dial contacts.
- Memory status: Review phone and SIM card memory.
- Own number: Set your own name and mobile number.
5 SOS
From the Home screen, press OK and select SOS.
- To define SOS contacts, navigate to Contact list.
- To edit the SOS message, navigate to Message.
- To ensure SOS mode is active, navigate to Activation and press OK to mark the checkbox.
- In emergencies, press and hold the SOS key to trigger an alarm, send help messages, and dial emergency contacts.
6 Gallery
The Gallery serves as a media player for photos and videos. It also offers additional operations for media files.
Access it by pressing OK from the Home screen and selecting Gallery.
7 Camera
Your phone is equipped with a camera for photos and videos.
7.1 Camera
Access via OK from Home screen, then select Camera.
To take a picture
The screen acts as a viewfinder. Position the subject and press the OK key to take the picture. Press the Left soft key to save.
7.2 Video
To shoot a video
- Press the Left soft key, select More options > Video mode.
- Press the OK key to start recording.
- When finished, press the Left soft key. Videos are saved automatically and can be viewed in the Gallery.
8 Tools
8.1 Alarm
The phone has a built-in alarm clock with snooze. Up to three alarms can be set with different wake-up times.
8.2 Clock
The clock displays your local time upon SIM card insertion. Other cities can be added for time zone display.
8.3 Torch
Press the OK key to turn the phone's flashlight on and off.
8.4 Calculator
Use the Navigation keys (up, down, left, right) and the Centre soft key to select arithmetic operators (+, -, ×, ÷) and the equals sign (=).
8.5 Calendar
Use the Calendar to track meetings and appointments. To create an event, select the date, press OK, fill in details, and press the Left soft key to save. Supports up to 20 calendar entries.
8.6 My files
Manages all files stored on the phone, including external microSD™ card and internal storage.
8.7 Magnifier
Press to turn on the Magnifier feature.
8.8 Convert
Supports weight and length conversions.
9 Entertainment
This menu offers entertainment options like Music, FM radio, Recorder, Facebook, Games, and Opera Mini, depending on your device.
Access via OK from Home screen, then select Entertainment.
10 Settings
Access via OK from Home screen, then select Settings (gear icon ⚙️).
10.1 Phone settings
- Time & date: Modify time and date settings, including 12/24h format and date format. Can set automatic time updates via
Phone settings > Update time settings > Auto update time
. - Language settings: Customize display and writing languages. Availability may vary by device model and software version.
- Shortcut Settings: Customize shortcuts for quick access to features like contacts, messages, and camera.
- Auto power on/off: Set desired times and days for automatic power on/off.
- Power management: View battery level.
- Browser selection: Choose your preferred web browser.
10.2 Profiles
Set sound modes for different scenarios: Normal, Silent, Meeting, Indoor, or Outdoor.
10.3 Bluetooth
Exchange data (video, images, audio) with other Bluetooth-supported devices within range after pairing.
10.4 Display
Set animation effects, wallpaper, auto lock, and other features to personalize your device's display.
10.5 Layout
Choose between Super icon mode (large icons) and 3*3 mode (grid layout with smaller icons and text). Access via Settings > Layout
.
10.6 Security
Protect your phone by activating and changing PIN and password (default 1234 or 0000). Contact your operator for issues.
- PIN: SIM card protection code requested on power-on.
- Modify PIN2: Protection code for SIM card features (FDN), requires 4-8 digits.
- Phone locked: An unlock code is requested on power-on.
- Modify the phone password: Change the phone's password (default 1234).
- Privacy: Lock applications by entering password (default 1234) and checking the box for Call logs, Message, Camera, Contacts, My files, Calendar, etc.
- Lock screen by end-key: Pressing the End key instantly locks the screen.
- Fixed dialing number: Restricts dialing to specific numbers or prefixes using a mandatory PIN2 code.
10.7 Call settings
- Dual-SIM: Manage two phone numbers on one device.
- Call forwarding: Activate, cancel, or verify call forwarding.
- Call waiting: Activate/deactivate notification for a second incoming call.
- Call barred: Restrict certain call types (incoming/outgoing) for privacy and security.
- Hide ID: Conceal or mask your identity during calls.
- Others: Features like Call time minute reminder, Auto redial, Vibration when connected, and Reply SMS after reject.
10.8 Network settings
- Network selection: Switch between Automatic and Manual connection.
- Network type: Select 2G/3G/4G(auto), 2G/3G(auto), 3G only, or 2G only.
- VoLTE: Choose VoLTE option.
- Network information: View network details.
10.9 Connectivity
Set Data accounts, Data roaming, Data connection, Prefer SIM, etc.
10.10 STK
SIM Toolkit menu for SIM card management (services, applications).
10.11 Voice report
Turn Voice report on or off.
10.12 SOS dial settings
Refer to Section 5 "SOS" for details.
10.13 Check for updates
Press Check for updates to update the system.
10.14 Call Filter
Block unwanted calls and create custom blacklists.
10.15 Regulatory & Safety
View information such as Product model, Manufacturer name, IMEI, and CU Reference.
10.16 About
View Privacy and User Terms.
10.17 Version Info
Press to view Software version.
11 Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, try these steps:
- Fully charge the battery for optimal operation.
- Avoid storing large amounts of data, as it may affect performance.
My phone can't be switched on or is frozen
- Check battery contacts, remove and reinstall the battery, then power on.
- Check battery power level; charge for at least 20 minutes.
My phone has not responded for several minutes
- Restart by pressing and holding the End key.
- Remove and re-insert the battery, then restart.
My phone turns off by itself
- Check if the phone is locked when not in use. Ensure you are not accidentally powering off when locking.
- Check the battery charge level.
My phone can't charge properly
- Use the original TCL battery and charger.
- Ensure the battery is inserted correctly before plugging in the charger.
- If the battery is completely discharged, it may take around 20 minutes to show the charging indicator.
- Charge under normal conditions (0°C to +40°C).
- When abroad, check voltage input compatibility.
My phone can't connect to a network or "No service" is displayed
- Try connecting in a different location.
- Verify network coverage with your operator.
- Check SIM card validity with your operator.
- Manually select available networks.
- Try connecting later if the network is overloaded.
My phone can't connect to the Internet
- Ensure your SIM card has internet access service.
- Check your phone's Internet connection settings.
- Ensure you are in a place with network coverage.
Invalid SIM card
- Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted.
- Check the SIM card chip for damage.
- Confirm your SIM card service is available.
Unable to make outgoing calls
- Dial a valid number and press the Call key.
- Check country and area codes for international calls.
- Ensure the phone is connected to a network and the network is not overloaded.
- Check your subscription status (credit, SIM validity) with your operator.
- Ensure outgoing calls are not barred.
- Ensure the phone is not in flight mode.
Unable to receive incoming calls
- Ensure the phone is on and connected to a network.
- Check your subscription status with your operator.
- Ensure incoming calls are not forwarded.
- Ensure certain calls are not barred.
- Ensure the phone is not in flight mode.
The caller's name/number does not appear when a call is received
- Check if you subscribed to this service with your operator.
- The caller may have concealed their name or number.
I can't find my contacts
- Ensure your SIM card is not broken.
- Ensure your SIM card is inserted properly.
- Import all contacts stored in the SIM card to the phone.
The sound quality of the calls is poor
- Adjust volume using the Volume Up/down key during a call.
- Check network strength.
- Ensure the receiver, connector, or speaker is clean.
I am unable to use the features described in the manual
- Check with your operator to ensure your subscription includes the service.
- Ensure the feature does not require a specific TCL accessory.
When I select a number from my contacts, the number can't be dialled
- Ensure the number is correctly recorded in your file.
- Ensure you have selected the country prefix when calling a foreign country.
I am unable to add a contact to my contacts
- Ensure your SIM card contacts are not full; delete files or save them to the phone contacts.
My callers are unable to leave messages on my voicemail
- Contact your network operator to check service availability.
I can't access my voicemail
- Ensure your operator's voicemail number is correctly entered.
- Try again later if the network is busy.
SIM card PIN locked
- Contact your network operator to obtain the PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key).
The phone can't be detected by others via Bluetooth
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned on and your phone is visible to other users.
- Ensure both phones are within Bluetooth detection range.
