EP800 Micro-inverter Installation
Introduction
Key Features:
- If there is a grid failure or when there is no grid, the micro-inverter disconnects from the grid, allowing the PV system and battery storage to operate independently.
- Use the BLUETTI app to set the micro-inverter's power rating.
Notes:
- Do not use a generator as an input source in AC-coupled or micro-inverter systems.
- The micro-inverter can operate independently without EMS and ATS.
- Use only compatible micro-inverters such as the IQ7.
Important Compatibility Notes:
- Not all solar PV inverters are compatible with EP800. Please contact BLUETTI before installation.
- If you want to use existing solar panels, please purchase CT and Meter from the official website.

Electrical Diagrams
Note: The EP800 electrical diagram has no CT on the grid side.
The system diagram illustrates the EP800's integration with a solar PV setup. It shows the EP800 unit connected to a BLUETTI B500 battery system, a Solar PV Inverter, and the main electrical grid via an AC disconnect and main panel. The diagram also includes an IoT device for monitoring, a sub-panel with a transfer switch, and connections to essential and normal loads. It highlights the independent operation capability during grid failures and specifies battery quantity requirements based on solar PV power.
The detailed electrical diagram outlines the wiring for the EP800 system, including connections to the main grid, meter, sub-panel, manual transfer switch, and multiple B500 battery packs. It specifies the routing of PV DC input, AC output, battery connections, and communication lines (RS485). The diagram also indicates the use of compatible Enphase IQ7 micro-inverters, circuit breakers, rapid shutdown mechanisms, and CTs for current measurement.
Procedures
Step 1: Wiring
Connect the cables according to the electrical diagrams above.
Step 2: Power on
Press and hold the battery power button to activate the energy storage system. Refer to the product's user manual and related materials for detailed instructions.
Step 3: Micro-inverter Configuration
Access the "Pro Mode" page in the app and set the "Off-Grid AC PV Rated Power" (the total power of the PV system). Refer to the product's app user manual for detailed instructions.
Step 4: Initiate
Turn on the "System Switch" to enable the micro-inverter via the app.
Precautions
- The micro-inverter should be used with the meter in the accessories below.
- Do not activate off-grid micro-inverter and regular AC-coupled applications simultaneously.
